Anyone else????

Found this again. I needed to read it again!!!

http://www.homebirth-only.com/TheLastMonth.htm

GENERAL ACHES AND PAINS
During the ninth month some women feel stiff all over, the way they imagine that arthritic, elderly people feel. Baby's head pressing against the nerves and blood vessels in the pelvis may also cause cramps in the thighs. Like the pelvic aches and pains, these changes are due to the influence of pregnancy hormones on the ligaments of all of your joints. The overall loosening of your ligaments has been known to cause the knees and wrists to feel weak, too, making even light lifting tricky and walking less inviting. However, movement keeps your body tuned up and once you get started on your daily walk the aches and pain will diminish.

This is me!!!

Me too - All I want to do is lay on the couch, but then I feel more stiff and achy after I do

I'm really glad you posted that. I needed to read it again as well and remind myself that all of this is "normal."

yep...Im there with ya'll. I needed to read that in a bad way and I had forgotten all about it. I am one miserable mama...but I know its a temporary state. I have found a fantastic apparatus to help ease the cramping and contractions I have been having......

You know those ottoman footstools that go with the glider rockers? I put pillows on mine (because my boobs are so darn sore)...I've been on my knees with my chest draped over the ottoman and using it to rock back and forth. OMG it FEELS SO GOOD and has taken the pressure off the rest of my body.

Ive been expelling more plug...last night it was all bloody and nasty....and I have been having alot of cramping in my vaginal muscles/wall. Oh and so far today I have taken two baths. Ahhhhhhhhh mad props to whomever invented the bathtub in the first place...I could live in there. :LOL

Thanks for posting that link! It was really useful to read and to remind myself that this is all normal.

I've been having strong BH contractions for about 8 hours/day, 5-15 min apart for at least 2 weeks now and have been 4cm dilated for 1.5 weeks. Lost my plug 1 week ago and am 39w tomorrow. Crazy!!! My MW just laughed at my last appointment and said that I could be in that state for another two weeks. Well, it's been a week already since I saw her and I DON'T want to go to my appointment on Tuesday!!

I've tried everything to speed things along, but nothing has worked. Long walks, ball-bouncing, baths, sex, EPO (don't need THAT anymore!), blue cohosh, raspberry tea, and others I can't think of right now. It makes the contractions stronger, but they never go anywhere. Craziness!!!

Anyone else have any other tricks or know where the ON switch is?

What a fantastic idea! I am going to try that tonight. Anything to take that pressure off my nether regions!

I totally agree. But then again I have had a love affiar with the bathtub since my very first bath according to my mother. She would have to practiallby bribe me to get me out. And once I figured out I could read in the tub as well, well lets just say I have prune fingers and toes a lot of the time!!

Blessings,
N~
