Is this implantation?

This is my second month of trying to concieve. This month my OBGYN told me I ovulated early but it seemed to have lasted forever. If I was follwing my normal cycle calendar I would be due to start my period on Tuesday. This morning I woke up with a mild cramp and a discharge mixed with some oldish brownish lookin blood. Could this be my period sarting early or is this a sign of implantation?? Please help me understand.

Seems a bit late for implantation bleeding... but I guess you'll have to wait and see. If you don't start bleeding more in the next few days, take a HPT.
GOOD LUCK! My period is due any day now, and we're also TTC. Though... I must admit to taking a couple of tests early with a BFN (big fat negative!)... but here's to hoping!

If you ovulated earlier, your period will come earlier. The time from ovulation until when your period starts is very consistent from month to month. Irregularity in a cycle occurs in the pre-ovulatory phase. So if you normally get a period 14 days after ovulation and you normally ovulate on day 14, you will get your period on day 28. However, if a fluke month you ovulate on day 8, then you would expect your period to arrive on day 22.
