What a wonderful story!

How beautiful since her first birth was complicated with a preemie.

The part that cracks me up is the token comment from an OB who says that twin birth proceding without complications is 'way out there' in terms of being the exception. Uh, maybe he thinks that b/c they only see highly managed hospital births with unrealistic expectations (2nd twin in minutes of first, both must present vertex, etc)?

[and yes, yes, I know that twins can have added complications...]

I think that it is wonderful!

My maternal grandmother was a twin, and she was born at home.

My Aunt, her daughter, had twins at UCLA Medical Center, with every gadget known to man to assure that she and her twins would be safely delivered.

My Aunt survived, and only one of the twins survived.

So much for being "way out there". Sometimes that is the best place to be.
