This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

As much as I would love to give tips on starting labor, I can't in my right mind do so. I guess my advice would be to be patient. Is this your first baby? I know, the waiting is hard, and it is painful for some mommas to be pregnant near the end (was painful for me for both pregnancies) but patience is healthier for you and the baby than inducing labor is, whether it's naturally or otherwise.
Hang in there, I know it's not exactly what you'd wanted to hear, but just remember- even if you go late, you probably won't be pregnant after another month- and that's only if you go two weeks late. It feels like forever right now, but labor day will be here before you know it. Drink some tea, take a relaxing nap, soak in the tub... Try and be patient. It's hard, but I'm sure you can do it! Good luck!

Have sex. And try to be patient. Average gestation for 1st time moms is 41 week, 1 day. Let the baby choose his/her birthday. Enjoy these last days with the baby inside. The baby will come soon enough and you will miss the time when you shared that special connection.
Take care

I understand the pain, believe me I do, but your baby is just not ready yet! If you're not going into labour, your baby still needs cooking. Please try to be patient. Have some hot baths or showers, drink lots of water, rest with your feet up, sit outside and read a book - do things that you find comfort in and try not to focus on it too much. The last few weeks can feel tough when you're obsessing over your due date - but remember that your baby will come when s/he is ready to come out. Right now the best place for them is in the womb.
In the end, what does two or three weeks really matter when what you're getting is a healthy, beautiful baby who chose it's own birthday.
I promise you'll have no regrets at the end.

Will this get me kicked off?
: Masturbate. It will help your cervix ripen and give you all kinda good endorphins that will relax you while you wait to go into labor.
Your post is so short and it's hard to get a feel on what's concerning you the most. How are you in pain? If it's back or sciatic pain, a chiropractor may be able to work absolute wonders. I nearly proposed marriage to the chiropractor who adjusted me beginning when I was about 30 weeks -- I went home and had the absolute most delicious nap of my entire life and zero pain for days!
Your body and your baby will know when they're ready and nothing -- NOTHING, not castor oil, not nipple stimulation, not even Pitocin, will make you go into labor until and unless your body and your baby are ready to go. In which case you will start labor without any of those things!
Isn't it great that your body is so efficient it's already beginning to dilate you ahead of time? That's 3 cm you're not going to need to dilate in labor
