Are you finding out what the baby is? - Page 2

Hopefully not.
I did not want to with our first but DF insisted and I allowed it only on the agreement that the next one would be a surprise.
Well days after our positive pregnancy test he said he wants to know.
We could always opt out of the U/S but I feel like it is one of the few things invasive that I am comfortable with to allow during pregnancy. I decline most other tests etc.
I entertain thoughts of allowing DF is find out but I know what a big blabber mouth he is and could not stand the thought of anyone besides me...must go weather problems here.

Nope, not planning to find out! I really like the idea of a surprise. Plus, I am more inclined to want a girl and I feel that not knowing will allow me to build anticpation about any little being who chooses to join our family, accepting him or her for who he or she is.

Like others have said, I think it'll be fun to annoy family members who will want to know the sex. They probably will want to know so they can buy exclusively blue or pink clothes, and I don't want to sex-type my baby the moment she/he is born.

we're not going to find out. we didn't find out with my first either, and i really love the surprise.

the birthing center that we're going to allows the women to make all the choices about thier pregnancy and birth, so it surprises me a bit that some midwives don't offer ultrasounds at all. i guess maybe it's a canadian thing, since it's automatically covered by the gov't either way? i still haven't decided if we'll have an ultrasound this time around, i had one at 19 weeks with noah. i think this time just hearing the heartbeat with the doppler will be enough to put my mind at ease but i might change my mind.

This time we will find out...God willing. Last time I was SURE that it was a girl. When my DH said "It's a boy!" I said "Really?". I want my first words to be "welcome to the world _____(name)" I want to be more prepared.

We will be finding out....hopefully in July! I want to be prepared when we have the baby(all the right gender specific clothes in place). Since I already have 2 boys(both warm weather births)I am anticipating having to do a lot of shopping and want to have it done before the delivery.
Plus, my older son is set on having another brother, so I'd like to be able to prepare hime either way in advance.

I've found out before with all mine and I'm happy to do it that way. I get enough of a surprise with hair color/type (and what skin color would they be with my first three) that I feel more comfortable already knowing the sex of the babe. So, if the babe is cooperative at the u/s, yep, I'll want to know.
