look at us figuring things out and coming up with solutions all by ourselves.... i wonder if we can get a bonus from the mods or something. Like one full hour of permissable inuendo talk?? :
I basically never post anymore, I just login and read b/c of the way I was treated by the Diapering forum regulars when I tried to bring up a what seemed to be a valid point to me.
I was new to cd'ing and was doing research on the subjetc. I was lambasted for challenging the holy grail of organic cotton.

:LOL
As long as I can show off my prefolds next to my fancy fitteds without having to change forums, I'll be happy!
I've got 3 boxes of organic oat bran graham crackers to go towards the smores! (I stocked up because I don't want to go back to the grocery store until race week is over, which incidentally is more like 12 days.)

I remember this situation. While I think you had valid concerns, I think that many people thought that since you were a new member and your post seemed antagonistic, that you *might* be a troll. Not that you are. But, we have been known to meet actualy trolls from time to time all over the mothering boards. There seem to be lots of people who choose to attack our lifestyle choices, and sometimes we can all be a little defensive, because we are so used to coming under attack. We just all need to remember to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
OK, real question. Is trolling in the diapering forum so pervasive that everyone is assumed to be a troll? I mean, I know we get a lot in GD and vaccination, but diapering? I am genuinely intrigued.
I don't think trolling is that common, but it happens from time to time. Also, we tend to meet a lot of trolls in real life, because our choices tend to be out there for everyone to see. We also have to remember that some people tend to be more defensive than others. It's just a personality trait. We're all different, which is a good thing. (Can you imagine the W&P forum if we were all alike?)
No one is assumed to be a troll. If I remember the thread correctly, no one was "lambasted." Statements about organic cotton were challenged, that's all.
