I have a no shoes rule that comes and goes
|Now dh.....he is the worst about it!!!!
During the winter, for sure, all shoes/boots off at the door. I hate walking in puddles with my socks on... I crocheted slippers for everyone which worked great at keeping feet warm without shoes
Now that its warmer, dh is the WORST at taking his shoes off at the door... He just doesn't stay in or out long enough to justify tying and untying.
As for the kids, I have DSS trained pretty well
DSD is not... just like her father
I'm more of lead by example sort of gal. I can't expect a miracle if I sneak around with my sandals on from time to time... I don't want to be a hypecrite
We have hard wood floors and its much better to leave shoes at the door than to scratch them up with sand and dirt from shoes.
But since we have dogs, the floors will always be dirty...
