Owl Pellets

We disected owl pellets today. Ok, so dh and dd did. I was grossed out and just watched them. I don't have a problem with bones at all but fur bothers me (is there a shudder smilie yet?). Ok, so I do vaguely think it's creepy that the bones of 5 mice are sitting in a jar on my kitchen counter. We weren't sure where to put them

It was cool though DD loved it. She really got into it and it held her attention for about an hour We bought them on a whim at a nature center we went to today. Yup, we were checking out the little gift shop and bought honey sticks, stickers and owl vomit : Ah, homeschooling

Those are FUN!! They have them for a pretty inexpensive cost at Carolina Supply Co., (it's Carolina something...sorry if that's not exactly it).
We categorized our bones and taped them to 3x5 cards.
