What's your SAHM wardrobe/style like?

What kind of clothes do you wear most days?
Do you wear makeup or style your hair much on a regular basis?

How does your pre-SAHM style compare?

I love that I get to wear the kind of clothes I feel most comfortable in. Jeans and t-shirt or yoga pants and t-shirt. I actually feel like I have more style now than pre-SAHM days probably b/c I am comfortable. I don't ever look at heels and think "gosh I miss wearing those every day". I love my flip-flops! I put on make-up (to some degree) every day, and style my hair most days, even if it's at 4:00 pm by the time I get to it. I do get "dressed up" several times a week for certain things but as soon as I get home, I start peeling off the uncomfortable clothes to wear what I really like.

I wear comfy pants or clam-diggers, comfy tshirts, comfy nursing bra, undies, and sandals. I usually shower but only brush my hair on special occasions. Never wear make-up, don't shave anything. I love it.

When I was pregnant I felt all earth goddessy and bought a tonne of skirts thinking I would wear them all the time, but I'm not feeling the flowy skirt urge while running after a toddler all the time.

Winter time I wear tshirts/sweatshirts, jeans, yoga pants, etc. Summer time I wear tshirts and long skirts. I shower every morning, put my hair up (it takes two seconds), wear Burt's Bees cover up and powder most days, and that's that. I try to look decent for the kids b/c I want them to get dressed and look neat. Esp. since they don't go to school we could get into the bad habit of being in pj's all day everyday. I don't think dh would like that much.

Now that it's summer, I wear shorts, skorts, or capris most days, nicer t-shirts, sneakers. I wear jewelry most days, rarely wear makeup. I try to look half-way decent but my clothes get really dirty as my little one is always grabbing on to me, or we're playing outside, etc.

I do get dressier now and then - khackis and a cardigen, nice shoes. Or a skirt.

I don't wear a great variety of things now (really saves on clothing costs!)
I wear one of two comfy pants and a handful of nice looking t-shirts. I really need to get rid of everything else.

I do on occassion wear a comfy skirt.

I wear a moderate amount of make up and style (brush) my hair everyday.

What I think is funny that at the end of the day I take off my comfy outfits and slip into even more comfy night stuff. I always think Ahhhh! :LOL I guess as a mom I've become a comfort addict.

I wear tshirts and jeans mostly, with doc martens to trek around with my toddler.... no make up, no shaving, hardly ever brush my hair, and ohh no bra usually unless i wear a tank top I usually wear a sports bra (never found a nursing bra i liked!)--- wow, do i sound like a hippie or what!!
I do wear my favorite jewelry every day!

oh thismama, I can't help but see the sexual innuendo in yer post- your feet aren't up are they?!

I wear my bootcut stretch jeans almost everyday with a t-shirt or gauzy tunic or peasant shirt. Comfortable shoes are the most important thing for me, and I wear clogs in the winter--and sandals in the summer. This summer I am mostly wearing a pair of Finn Comfort thongs, or my Naot sandals.

I also really like Hanna Andersson mama clothes--I wear their yoga pants and t-shirts and dresses.

Oh, and I wear light lipstick (like mauvey-gloss) and powder as well as a little blush and mascara everyday. My hair usually always looks the same--I blow it dry very well with a round brush every other day, and it holds the style pretty well. My hair is cut in a just past the shoulders long layers style that is very easy going.

Right now I'm very Boho/Hippie, which is awesome because it's "hot" right now and I have to put no effort into it and it looks like I have.

Pre-baby, I was very pulled together and styled. When I think back to how much I spent on clothing, bags, and shoes! Ack! I want to slap my former self and tell her to save the money.

shorts/cut-offs with t-shirt or tank most days, with the occasional skirt thrown in . Sandals are a must! Hair is usually braided or in a loose bun at the nape of my neck.... too hot for it to be down
The only make-up I wear (and then only occasionally) is a light-toned lipgloss and (even less frequently) mascara. Oh yeah, baby on the hip

Pre-baby? Well, still not much make-up but mascara and lipgloss daily. I did have funkier hair for a time, but always seem to go back to the long & wavy style. As for clothes, it was casual professional ~ funky/hippy skirts and shirts, semi-trendy pants. I wasn't a big fashion hound, but I definitely had a more diverse wardrobe than now!

In my pre-SAHM days I worked full time as a makeup artist for a very fashion forward trendy artistry line and so I wore a full face of make up everyday even just to go to the gas station. At a point in time I truly loved it....I was never an accesory girl though I always had good shoes and the occasional expensive handbag...never jewelry. I liked designer jeans w/ matching shirts and designer sweatsuits....NOW I wear NO makeup maybe some Kiss my face lip balm or Dr Bronners Lip balm and some moisturizer...I wear skirts and t-shirts,khaki capris and sandals/flipflops and some linen pants....most of the time ok well ALL OF THE TIME my hair is pulled back in a ponytail....I am soooooo much more comfortable like this....ME.

I don't think I've changed my wardrobe/style too much. I mean when I worked I did have to wear work appropriate clothes, shoes and keep my hair in some style but I never wore makeup. When I wasn't working I was always in pj's at home and barefoot, and in very casual comfy clothes to go out. Now I can skip the work stuff and just be comfy all the time. I've also just let my hair grow and pull it back so it looks neat as opposed to styling it.

In BC (before child) I wore suits to work everyday with my coach briefcase which contained my leather binder and laptop. I think it would now make a great diaper bag! Heels etc. I always wore shoes (not gym shoes) out, except in warmer months sandels or sling backs etc. Always full face of makeup

Now.....

For the first time since college I have actually worn out jeans 2 years in a row! I usually wear either jeans or stretch twill pants with boots or other shoes. A twin set or sweater or top of some sort. When nursing, I have a large collection of motherwear tops that go well w jeans or stretch twills.
I still use makeup everyday but now that our activities have moved outside more, just basic makeup. During summer I will wear my birkies, other sandels, or gym shoes when biking. But instead of jeans its capris, denim capris or shorts. I have never been the oversized t shirt/ stretch pants kind of person and I use yoga pants for yoga or pilates or early morning walks.

I'm a WAHM and WAH for two years prior to DS's birth. I work in software in the NW, so even when I was in the office, the dress code was super casual, so my style hasn't changed too much. For a few year I went through a flowy dress phase (which I called my "new age frump" look, and I abandoned that because it just wasn't flattering to my busty, curvy figure. Aside from this phase, my look has been pretty constant throughout the years.

My style varies by the season, but generally consists of nice jeans, fitted t-shirts, cardigans, capris, and the occasional skirt. I love polar fleece and will splurge on a new one at Patagonia during their February sale every few years. For shoes, I am loyal to a few brands (Dansko, Naot, Chaco, Birks, and/or Keen) because comfort and quality is really important when it comes to my feet!

I'd like to wear more skirts (the kind that hit right at or right below the knee), but they're just not that practical for doing housework and chasing a preschooler.

Makeup-wise, I wear a bit every day: foundation, lipstick/gloss, blush, and a coat of mascara. My short hair requires styling, which is why I'm growing it out into something I can throw back if I don't feel like messing with it.

My style is pretty much the same as it was before the babe, I just don't have to worry about "work" clothes. It's nice!

I usually wear cute jeans and cute little fitted tops. I also like to wear comfy skirts in warmer weather. Nothing fancy, but I like to feel like someone could drop by and I wouldn't be embarressed or frumpy.

I don't wear heels as often - I just wear cute flats/sandals now. Also I haven't been wearing as much jewelry. Too much of a pain with a grabby 11 mos old.

My hair is the one thing I wish I could do more with. I don't have any style now and have a hard time even getting time for a haircut. I really want to do something about that!

I think if my pre-baby friends saw me now they wouldn't recognize me :LOL I have completely given up on make-up and hair styles, etc. I wear shorts and t-shirts and flip-flops. Pre-baby I wore whatever the trendiest clothes were, always wore make-up and styled my hair. I even matched my shoes, purses and jewelry to my outfits. I wish I too could have all that money I spent back .

My pre-SAHM days were full of suits and heel and always makeup. Now, I wear carpis and t-shirts or tanks everyday and love it. I honestly haven't worn "shoes" in weeks...it's all about the flip flops! I do still do minimal makeup most days but it's entirely for me- not to make me look "professional" as it once did. I love that my wardrobe is dictated by how rough and tumble I am planning on getting with my 5 year old during the day!
