Herbs for the 3rd trimester

I'm coming up on this time in the next few weeks and would love some suggestions.

What herbs/homeopathics would be good for me to have available and to start using now?

I know RRL tea is a good one, can I drink that iced btw? Its too hot for hot tea.

I've also heard EPO is good to take, but is that orally or on the cervix near term?

What other herbal suggestions do you have?

TIA

Yes, you can drink RRL tea iced. EPO can be done either way. What was the reason for your first C-section? Was there any "issue" with dilation? (From the doctor's perspective?) If so, I would do it vaginally. I took it orally with #1. Had a fast labor. I didn't take it at all with #2. Had a faster labor. So I don't know if it helped or not.

You might also consider drinking Nettle infusion -- full of good things for mamas.

No problems at all with dilation! She was breech. And at 36 weeks my BH had dilated me to 6cm and 80% effacement. So they went ahead and did the section then. I wasn't in labor though, no pain or anything like that.

I was just thinking EPO for like 40 weeks on if the pregnancy lasts that long.

Wow, 6cms! EPO takes a while to work, so even if you started at 40 weeks, it might be a week or two before it would start to do anything, at which point your baby would probably already be born.

Doesn't sound like you need it!

Alfalfa is also good. I took it from 36 weeks on, I think I took 5 pills a day. Its full of Vit. K, so it will help you with your pp bleeding.

i took rrl - but in pill form - although i also iced the tea and enjoyed that as well I hate hot tea.

my mw also had me do epo at 36 wks orally and vaginally word of warning - it is messy - i would poke a hole with a needle, insert the gel pill near my cervix, and then go to bed and shower in the am. kept the discharge to a min.
