Hi, I'll join you guys....:)

I am 6 weeks today, so I am ready to join in! We aren't telling anyone else yet, but I just have to talk about it somewhere! hehe

I am due around Jan 22, which will make my son 2 1/2 when this baby is born. It was exactly the age difference I was hoping for, so I am very happy. I am sad to think of what DS will go through when the baby comes, I am so used to it just being us and so is he. But I am sure it will be fine.

Just this weekend I started getting the nausea (fun!) but I have been extremely tired for weeks. I guess those are good signs. I am hoping to have a midwife appt in a week or two, things will feel more "official" then, KWIM?

I've been reading your posts here for a couple of weeks and now I am ready to starting posting too!

What a happy new year we all will have!

Congratulations! My DD will be 31mos when this bub comes...and I am trying to mentally prepare for a rough transition. I'm pretty sure she will have a rough time of it, but DH is planning to step in big time. I think that is very important. He will be doing a lot of one on one with her and be taking the babe so she gets the mommy time she needs. DD1 was 3 when DD2 came and the transition was really pretty smooth (again, DH really stepped in and became her primary parent and we started that a few months before DD2 was born), but she had a completely different personality, so I am expecting a rough time with DD2 regardless. Good luck and congratulations again!

Hi Jen!

Hi Jen and welcome! We are probably exactly the same amount of time along as I am estimated 6 weeks and 2 days today! I am also worried about the trauma my son might go through since the possibility of a c-section is very real for me. My son was a c-section because he was transverse. I have a bicorunate uterus and breech transverse babies are common. I feel like that a c-section would totally tear us apart.
I'll be thinking about you.
Once again welcome!

Hi Jen!
My youngest will be 2 1/2 when this next sprout is born too. I'm thrilled that they will be closer in age. My oldest dd will be 7 1/2, so you can see there is a big gap there. (though I do have to admit that its nice to have a little helper in the house. )

I'm still nursing my youngest, and I don't think she'll be ready to give that up anytime soon. She's very much a mama's girl, so I'm a bit nervous about how she's going to react.
