May dute dates named Elizabeth

I was just looking at the Birth Announcement sticky, and there are LOTS of us who used the name Elizabeth as a 1st or middle name for our daughters. I didn't think the name was that "in" ... I guess smart minds think alike though.

My eldest is actually named Elizabeth, but we call her Lily! It's also my middle name. I'm going with the "great minds think alike" concept!

You are like the 3rd person I know that uses Lily as a nickname for Elizabeth! Our Lillian Elizabeth is named for her great grandmothers on my side (one from my mom's side and one from my dad's side). The Elizabeth is a family name handed down at least 6 or 7 generations to the first born girl as a middle name.

Calling her Lily is kind of neat as it is a nickname for both her first and middle names!

My middle name is Elizabeth (hence DD's middle name) but no one ever called me Lily...it was always Liz or some other form of Liz. My family still calls me Liz.......in fact they rarely call me by my first name...has been Liz since I was little. lol
