Baby doesn't like Maya wrap sling - help!!! - Page 2

Hm, some babies like to be kind of in a jack knife position in the kangarro hold, with their feet straight up in front of them rather than legs folded. If she is falling over, try bringing that edge of the fabric up over that shoulder. But really, if she does ok with the side sitting/semi-reclining position, that's just as good visibility-wise, and a bit more stable.

Can I do the hip carry with her yet??? I tried that today by accident and she really liked it. She has really good head support but cannot sit up herself yet...I had her head laening against my chest with her facing in and she fell right asleep. I was just wondering if her hips are OK in that position. So far that seems to be the most comfortable for both of us...I am sorry I have so many qwuestions I just don't have anyone else to ask!

if it works, just make sure to kepp her snug since she can't sit on her own yet. It seems early to use that position, but I say whatever works for the two of you. If she likes that position, even facing in, maybe try nursing in that position, at least as a start.

As long as the sling is supporting her back and the bottom is supporting her legs and not just her butt, it should be fine.
