Cloth Pads- Help me choose!

Thread Starter
I've been using cloth diapers on my daughter and it just struck me today that all the reasons I wanted cloth for her applied to me as well! So I am ready to try cloth pads (Diva Cup/Keeper aren't options- I've never been an "insert" fan- always hated tampons).

I've been looking around and I'd like some recommendations. My preferences are:

All in one- I don't want to be changing out inserts and such.
Prints- Because I want to have fun with it!
Snaps to hold pads in place.

Any recommendations?

Thank you!

I also love my Liz cloth hemp pads from www.diaperware.com Not fancy, but comfy!!!

I absolutely won't use any other pads but Lotus Pads. I tried a bunch of different wahm-made ones, but they all (except my lotus pads) get kind of stiff after several washings. On her website you don't get to choose the prints, but she is so nice, that I'm sure if you email her about fabric choices that she'd be willing to work with you.

I'm a Keeper person but I also use Liz's cloths and have at glad rags too. Both are great!

I dont have a particular brand to recommend, but I would recommend trying a few of each. Dont buy a whole stash of some and then find out they dont work for you.

Freshies! You can get them at Punkinbutt , I think... anyway, I am a Keeper girl but I love my Freshies! on the first and last day. The wool bodies with velour topped hemp...

I like DaisyGirl Designs...cute prints, nice fabrics...I believe she can do PUL, or not, as you prefer.

my vote goes for www.snoogiesnaps.com

her website offers several options, and I've had a lot of fun brainstorming custom options with her as well.

I honestly prefer the snap-around holder, with snap-in pads, because it reduces the bulk that I have to carry around with me to change pads, and since I have a small selection of pads and holders I can mix-n-match to get exactly the right fit and abosrbency for any panty and any flow.

They also launder faster and more easily than the AIOs.

She does PUL, fleece and wool (I love my wool holders very grippy on smooth panties that the fleece sometimes doesn't grab as well.)

: I absolutely my Freshies! I bought some other assorted AIO brands and wasn't thrilled (but they were better than sposies of course). I have used my Freshies the last 3 cycles and I am SO glad I bought them! I really like the wool bodies (although I have the fleece too) with fleece topped hemp. I actually would even prefer to use just the regular cotton ones with the fleece bodies (which are not my fav out of the system) instead of another brand. HTH!

I have tried several different kinds, and I prefer the New Moon pads from sweetcheeks.com. They do not snap in, but stay in place really well. She now has lots of fun patterns too. (And they are very affordable, around $5/pad I if I remember correctly.)

I like my TLC pads and they're reasonable. http://tlc-pads.com/

Mom and Me Creatiions pads are wonderful! They are topped with hemp fleece which is so soft and comfy. Check out her website. http://www.momandmepouch.com/Our_Products.html

Cloth Pads- Help me choose!

Perfect Pads are my favorite, of course They are wash n' wear, all-in-one, leak-proof, antibacterial hemp core and certified organic cotton. *non organic available. Years ago I've tried the "stuff-in kind" with but at the time I was new to cloth and it was overwhelming. Renee at New Moon Pads is doing a nice job of helping woman make informed choices - she has a list of cloth menstrual pads sellers: www.newmoonpads.com/padsellers.html

My suggestion is that you look for something that will give you a good fit. And a company with long history and a reputation for standing behind their product. Perfect Pads are sold nationwide and have been referred by doctors and midwives for many years.

Another for Perfect Pads! We have several different kinds here, and these are the biggest width/lengthwise, yet the thinnest and are super thirsty!

I second DaisyGirls (I have a pantyliner stash of these) and I have a HUGE thumbs up for WAHMarama Cyclez. They are thirsty, comfy and all natural. I have a heavy flow and I haven't had one issues with these pads even at night. Both of these can be found on hyenacart.com
