Melalueca? - Page 2

I wrote to Melaleuca today to specifically ask about ingredients in their laundry products, so I could compare them to Seventh Generation products which in my opinion are the best natural products out there, and they fully disclose all their ingredients. Now in my email I specifically asked for product ingredients, and whether their laundy detergent was vegetable based or petroleum based.... the link they sent was to their marketing sell sheets, which do not list any ingredients, and only say the products are "natural" and without phosphates. Well, almost all laundry detergents on the market now are phosphate free so that is really no big deal.

This is what I got as a reply:

I have friends that are building the Melaleuca business ( not near as 'cultish' as the Quixtar business they were in years before though). I signed up as a customer so while I'm not building a business I do purchase their products for personal use and just started a couple months ago.

Where I wasn't satisfied with home mixed or other all natural products I tried and while the supermarket brands are very satisfying in their ability to clean quickly and easily - the Melaleuca products I find to be a meeting in the middle for me. I like that they are concentrated so that I don't have to replace them as often (and that makes them not as expensive as I first thought). I like tea tree oil added in to their products, I've been a fan of that stuff for years. The vitamins are good, the cleaning and laundry products seem safe and effective... I just can't stand their toothpaste... then again, I don't like any of the natural toothpastes I've tried - if it's not Sensodyne... I can't use it!

I find the minimum order every month really easy to make considering I don't use all of their products too. Some I like, others I don't, I don't want a business, but I do like the convenience of shopping online and feel satisfied that their products are a better alternative to the Mr. Clean and Tilex I was buying before.
