What kind of thread??

What kind of thread do I need to be using to sew diapers, diaper covers, mama pads, nursing pads and wipes?? Is it something I can buy online or at Walmart? Do I need a different needle as well or can I just use the needle that came with the sewing machine? The sewing machine is a "Brother" from Walmart.

Sorry still VERY new to the whole sewing thing!

You should use a 100% polyester or nylon thread. Cotton thread will wick at the seams. Also, I have better luck sewing PUL with a jersey ball point needle. HTH

It depends if you are using a sewing machine or serger. Always use polyester, but if you are serging I think the best is wooly nylon because it is very soft for next to the skin...although you only *need* it in your loopers, and most importantly the bottom one. Now if you're T&T it doesn't matter so long as it is polyester

Gutermann makes a very nice polyester thread. You can get it at JoAnn's fabrics or your local fabric store.
