I just bought some prefolds from ddandme and I would love to dye my white prefolds. Is it hard?? What do you use?? Is it expensive?? Where can I find it!! Thanks!

Nope, not hard at all. You can get a $10-20 tiedye kit with procion dyes at nearly any craft store or even Walfarts. (Don't do Rit!) It has everything you need in it right down to the gloves and rubberbands, and an instruction book with pictures.

If you'd rather shop online, check out Dharma Trading Co. They have kits too I think.

If you want to learn a little about the dyes...how to use them, folds etc. there is a great fabric arts forum where there are people of all different experience levels who are ready and willing to share advice and tips.

Also, you can use different techniques to dye your PF's. Like tie-dyeing, low water immersion(gives a neat "mottled" blend of color), or solid color dyeing.

Some are scared by complicated looking directions but in reality it is really easy, as many here will attest. If you have any questions, doubts or freak outs(sorry, it rhymes so well with "doubts" :LOL ) PM me or search/post on the above fiber arts forum, people there are so ready and willing to help.

By the way, after doing your first set or two of PF's you may become addicted to dyeing and will soon find you cannot resist the urge to dye anything white that crosses your path
