embroider wool jersey cover?

I got a green sugar peas wool cover, one layer I think jersey? Im totally not sure really as I got it from the swap. Anyhow, can I embroider a design on it with wool yarn? Would it wick. Would I need to seal it or anything? I really want to liven it up some how and though this would be fun. Any ideas? Thanks!

i've embroidered wool, but have made 2 layer covers and then just embroidered the outer layer. i would think a 1 layer cover would leak if embroidered.

is the color light? maybe you could dip dye it with shades of green koolaid to make it cuter

I don't think it would wick if you embroidered with wool yarn. It would be like embellishments on soakers, you know? Another idea, you could embroider a piece of wool then applique the patch to the cover. Then you could use cotton embroidery floss for your design.
