I'm the average - 85%. So I am less pure b.c. my ds chose to be posterior. I know it's just a light hearted quiz, but just wondering also what "pure" is. What do you think mamas? :
My definition of "pure" is no meds, no induction, no cuts, no messing with membranes not even stripping, no CFM, no timeline, no machines that go ping, no VE every hour by everyone who walks in, no IV, no forced pushing, no withholding food or water. Just mom and baby working together to birth the way we were made to birth without interuption and/or intervention.
I agree that I think of a truly, 100% pure birth as the kind of birth you could have completely alone w/ a healthy mom and baby outcome, where the only things done are the things that come instinctually. Sort of in "Blue Lagoon" fashion. kwim?
I think its just a gimick to draw traffic to their site - they know tests like this are popular and so by having a test like this they can draw in people to view their site. It's obviously exactly that - answering all no gives you 100%, all yes 0%. Meaningless really.

I'm a mere 65% pure- obviously, I should have lied about stripping my own membranes... They missed a question- did you wet yourself laughing whilst taking this test? :

Based on past experiences, which may not have been as "pure" I believe much more strongly in natural childbirth than someone who had a great hospital experience, no? so how does that make me less "pure"?? I'm still offended by the idea that from our birth experiences someone can decide how good we are.
I agree with whoever it was that said it's just a gimmick to get people to visit the site. And once you're there, to donate money.
You guys, it's "pure" because it's a spoof on the infamous "Purity Test" which had like 200 questions pertaining to every sexual experience from holding hands to getting it on with your barnyard friends. The point was to take the test and see how "pure" you were based on sexual experience (the more things you had experienced the less pure you were, of course).
So in this context you are "more pure" based on having experienced fewer of the situations they describe and "less pure" having been around the block more, so to speak. I wouldn't agree with the premise that certain experiences are worth having or necessary rites of passage, but there's no big conspiratorial implication. It's just silly.
I'm 95% pure because I haven't had my baby yet!
I am expecting my score to go WAY down after this baby, due in part to using a birth ball and RRL tea
Pure= "birth virgin"
