I am working on an article about lactophobia and I can get a quote from my husband. I think we should try to get the articles published in major newspapers and magazines (reader's digest, etc.), (not just parenting mags).

Along with the article about what men can do, how about articles about what to do if you have a nursing mother as a house guest, things you can say if you aren't the nursing mom being persecuted in a public place, but want to stick up for her. I'll see what I can do besides the lactophobia article (didn't that word get coined by and MDC mama - can we get her permission to use it?)

Let me know if you need any other help! I'm a SAHM so I've got some free time (well as much as you can have with a 13 mo old :LOL ). I love the idea about the photo in front of VS! I actually think the VS near us may have a bench in front of it...

Sounds great! I know words can't be tradmarked or copyrighted, so it should be no problem. Maybe just out of courtesy we could ask though.

I'd love to help if I can. I'm a writer if you need more articles. I could do a piece on the male point of view maybe? Or do some interviews with people that are uncomfortable with NIP and try to get into the issues (I know a few subjects to interview!)?

I'm pretty sure my DH and I can handle the VS poster/NIP on a bench shot. How soon do you need it?

I can do it within about two weeks, I'd guess. There is a mall back home with a VS and I'm nearly positive it has benches right outside.

That would be awsome! 2 weeks should be fine. I still need to assemble articles & information. I would also like professional or semi-prefessional pics of nursing. I would love to show the pure beauty of breastfeeding. The pics will probably go across the top in a collage. Along the lines of this one http://earthybabes.com/

I think this is such a great idea - I was firing off emails this morning about a debate I saw on MSNBC - one central link to send media outlets and mamas, with lots of ENCOURAGING information would be great. I would love to help out - let me know, I have some time, I'm at home with a 9 1/2 month old!!
Can I just say that one of the saddest things for me about all of this is that these things are being said by other women couldn't we all try to support each other?
