microfiber for stuffings?

Has anyone tried microfiber towels for the inners of their fitteds? I was thinking about doing a trifolded towel with a little diaper flannel or something. Would this work? Its all we use around her for stuffing our Fuzzi Bunz so I dont see why it wouldnt right? (dd isnt a heavy wetter and one towel holds her for several hours) I was thinking the towel sandwiched between a layer of flannel on either side, woven outside and suedecloth or velour inside....would this work? Thanks for letting me ask a million questions...now to just find the time to sew!

It sounds good, but I'm not a microfiber or internal soaker person so what so I know? :LOL My concern is how clean it would get inside, and how long it would take to dry? I'd love to use microfiber, but haven't found it cheaply around here yet.

I am thinking of doing the exact same thing. Microfiber dries so quickly, so it seems that a fitted made with a microfiber soaker would dry much faster than a soaker made of cotton or hemp. I was measuring the Walmart automotive towels to see how much water they would hold, and I added 4 ounces and still had room to spare. 4 ounces is a lot of pee! Anyway, once I get sewing again I will give it a try. I think it sounds like a GREAT idea! I really like microfiber.

We use them all the time and they dry quickly enough. We bought ours are walmart in the automotive section....about 5 or 6 of them for around $5. Trifolded they are the perfect size for a soaker thats why Im hoping the would work. They work great in our pockets so why not? I also cant imagine why they wouldnt get clean. they do otherwise.

I've used mostly microfiber for pocket stuffers and for internal soakers. Problem is, I haven't been able to try them yet :S Hopefully in the next two weeks I'll have a little one to test them on, and I'll let you know how it goes

I've made some pocket fitted diapers and then made a trifold soaker insert with one side microfiber towel and one side diaper flannel. I can't believe how absorbant they are!!!

Well dh had to go to Walmart today so I asked him to pick me up a pack. He came back with 4 packs of 8! He said they were on rollback special today for only $3.00! I'm gonna try them out and see how I like them. Can't believe he bought that many but I guess he's just as bad as I am when it comes to material shopping for diapes!

I've done this with my most recent diapers. So far, so good. They have only been washed & used a couple of times though. I think I will trim the edges off & reserge them with the next ones I do. The manufacturer's serged edge just seems a little bulky to me. Works fine though....
