Water testing question

Ok if I take a dipe and pour water on the soaker how much should it absord before it starts wicking? I just tried this on an AIO for the first time and I got a little over 8oz. before it started to wick. Is that good or should I add more to my soaker layer? The way I made it was a layer of cute print, layer of pul, soaker made of 4 layers hemp fleece, layer of microfleece.

Wow, interesting question! I'm not sure - all I can tell you is that the Cottonbabies inserts for their Fuzzi Bunz held a whopping 12 oz of liquid (yep, I tested it). But 8 oz sounds pretty good to me!

I tested some of my pockets night before last with both Fuzzi Bunz and Wonderoos and got 8oz with all that I tested so I think I'm stacking up pretty good. I wonder what cottonbabies does different?
