E's weight gain is on the lower end- though do you know what her lowest weight was?? that may boost it.
is her development normal in other ways? head circumference and length increasing?? i'm guessing so, since from your posts it seems she's doing all the right things.
It could be that she's just not getting enough hindmilk when she eats. you could try breast compression to increase it.... also does she end the feedings? or do you? Im assuming she has enough pee and poop diapers (acutally I know you change tons of diapers/ day).... do you have a local LLL Leader you could call? or do you want me to help? We could chat by phone, or even IM.... let me know!
I think she's gained alot in the past month. I do think that the first few months she wasn't gaining well. She was real boney and always seemed so small. But now she seems to have grown and she feels "big". 95% of the time I let her end the feedings but there are times when I just can't, bathroom, meeting the bus etc. I know her head circumference has increased, I don't measure it but she's grown out of, and it about to grow out of, hats. Length has def increased. Poo we don't have alot of poo over here she goes anywhere from 1.5days-3days between. When she goes its yellow and very soft. Pee diapers we have more than enough of those :LOL
Her lowest weight was 8lbs 3ozs. I did check her myself against the cdc charts and she did drop in % she went from 25th% at 2mths to about 7% at 4mths. On the WHO chart she was at 2mths mean -1.5 (looks like it would be 25%for cdc chart) and mean -1.5 at 4mths so
one chart says I'm starving my baby the other says she's fine.
Developmentaly she makes all kinds of "talking" sounds; can roll over both ways; respondes to her name 75% of the time; grabs toys; put everything in her mouth :LOL ; scoots all over on her back (I've seen her turn herself 90degress and move 3 feet); she laughs; she associte things with what happened before and not just with food when I place her on her changing table she'll look at her mobile (which dh always winds up) look at me, look at the moblie, look at me; she reconizes faces that she does see all the time (fil, my mum, my therapist); on her swing there are two toys, one is a snack cup tucan head that she can open and close, the other is a rattle ball surronded by two rings she can spin the ball and spin the rings; she can also move the beads on one of those bead tracks (the wires things the bend and curve that have wooden beads on them) but she cannot complete the track she just moves them back and forth.
I don't think there's a problem, but please let me know if you can "see" something. Sorry that was so long. I wanted to make sure I included everything.
Oh I think I found us a new dr
this guy sounds good. Another mama her reccomended him to me, she doesn't take her kids to him but she knew someone who used to (moved) and he comes reccmoended by a local LLL group. He's a family practice dr and from what she's heard he specializes in homeopathic medicine and is open on the vax issue. We have a meeting with him to see if he's what we're looking for 5July. He likes to meet with any new patients before they schedual an appt to make sure he's what we're looking for.
with Abigail I hope things get better there. It sounds like she's having a hard time adjusting. I can't offer any advice just a
Andy I totally forgot to answer you about the tickets
Yes I'd like you to pick up the tickets. I don't really see us going more than once. Could you PM me the details, how much, how to pay you..
I feel like I'm left out of the maya wrap club now :LOL I've got a taylor made treasures sling, which is in serious need of a bath.
I've got to get planning our trip for bil's wedding. Its nightmere potential is ever so slowly increasing. Now we get a letter with the "events for the weekend" The rehearsal is at 6pm Friday with the rehearsal dinner following at 8pm. How the heck are dh and I supposed to make this dinner with a 4mth old (who very grumpy
after 5) and a 7yo who goes to bed at 8:30. On top of that we are all arriving Friday so this will be after a 16hr drive. Then evreyone was planning on starting the drive back Saturday after the wedding, well the wedding is at 5pm, sothat kills that plan. FIL is very unhappy
about that. Especialyl since we didn't find this out until last week when the letter came. You would think that they would have planned the wedding a little earlier becuase of this. None of bil's family is flying in, we're all driving, and besides the $$ of getting and staying there for the wedding everyone is missing work and school. I was hoping to have ds home for the lasy day of school, but thats just not going to happen
they're having a little "graduation". Sorry I'm just kinda
about the whole thing.
