thrift shop fabric find!

I just needed to share. At our thrift shop everything is WAY over priced so we rarely go. But, for some reason, the fabric there is usually a steal! Yesterday, I got three yards of grey ribbed velour (the kind joanns had last season) AND, three yards of lavender knit terry (the exact stuff joanns has now for $9.99 a yard) for $6!! That's $1/yard. Whoever had this didn't even begin to cut into it. I'm so excited! I was looking for more ribbed velour and I almost bouth a yard of knit terry at joanns last week for $6.00 (with a coupon).

I also got 2 yards of cotton jersey for $1.75 in a pretty turquoise color. And a few weeks go, I got 5 .. yes FIVE yards of blue cordorouy for $2 and two yards of turquoise denim for $1.

Now to figure out what to make!

Wow! Nice scores! Our local thrift shop never has any cool fabric - it's always horrible 70s polyester abominations (no offense to anyone who actually likes that fabric, I just happen to abhor it).

That is so awesome! I love it when I find good stuff cheap, it just sweetens the deal.

Wow, those are some awesome scores! I adore fabric shopping in thrift stores.

Wow! Our thrift stores don't carry fabric... I think. I've had bad experiences with several of them (different experiences and NOT my fault) so I don't thrift store shop anymore.

My local thrift stores never have fabric, either. Congrats on the great finds!

I've never seen fabric at our local thrift store either, but last year I got some nifty fabric at a yard sale for $1 (it was about 3 yards). Sounds like you found some great deals!
