After my post last week about impending labor, our second son made his appearance very early the next morning. Little Elliot Witherspoon was born into the water at 2:33 am on Wednesday, June 8th. He weighed 8 lbs 13 oz and measured 21 inches long. I've been basking in his calm beauty since, and enjoying every newborn moment, as I know they will be gone soon.
I was so happy to have a gentle birth experience, mostly laboring at home, and then ending with 45 minutes in the birthing tub at the hospital. I will post my birth story later (and hopefully add a few pictures here) ~ thank you all for sharing our pregnancies together!
