anybody still "wearing" a toddler?

what kind of sling do you use? I only have ones that go around my waist--a mei tai I made, & an ergo. But I need something I can wear on my hip now--too uncomfortable on the belly. DS is 30lbs. Ouch! But unless it's the special "truck carts" at the grocery store, he wants to be carried. Or up-down constantly

I used to have a maya wrap but DS got too heavy for it around 20lbs or so, so I sold it. Any other hip carriers you like?

i am also still wearing ds in an ergo, but he loves to be on my back so I think it will work out fine through this pregnancy. the belt on the ergo rides very low on me, jsut how I like it, so i think its perfect.

I wear my 3 yr old DS on my back and hip with my Maya Wrap. He weighs 30lbs, and has for the past year, but he still does very good in it and loves it.

DS would only ride on my front in the maya for the longest time, and that was hard on my shoulder. I bet he would be more comfortable on my hip in the maya now. I cannot for the life of me get him on my back in the ergo without DH's help--he's too wiggly!!

my dd won't really ride in a sling anymore...although i haven't tried it that much recently...i should get it back out...

when i use it, i use one that is not-adjustable and she just rides on my hip. a lady i know makes them for like $20 or something.

I still wear him in my front-carrying Mie Tai-he is only 25 pounds. But I am a little nervous about wrapping it around my waist and having him hang on to my front. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a squirmy toddler into a back-carrying mie tai?
