A year behind, but that really caught my eye since I grew up in Farwell. I'm in Ann Arbor now.

Hello Alison! How's it going? Aren't you glad Midland has LLL now? It's really nice not to have to run to Saginaw although I'll still try to get to those meetings now and then when I can!

I'm sitting here in a rocker typing one handed with Becca in my lap. She is very fussy, I can't stop rocking much less lay her down. Poor little thing I think is trying to cut some teeth. She's knawing on everything in sight and only nursing for a couple minutes at a time. I think it is going to be a long night.

I'm thrilled with the LLL. I'd never been to one til Midland's first meeting. I about jumped off the chair when I found out we were getting one.

How are you feeling?
Awww... poor Becca! I hope she is feeling better, it sure was nice to see all of you at the Breastfeeding Walk! And how cool that you got yourself a new stroller! Bec just looks so good and so healthy, all those yummy mamma's milk rolls all over her, just love those meaties!! She's so soft and sweet!

I'm not feeling bad, thanks, I really felt awful later in the day on Friday. I think I just did too much and got too much sun, I can feel pretty good when I'm doing something, then later it all hits me! It was a fun time though!

Midland really needs LLL, there is not much around at all for lactation support. So I'm thrilled there are meetings now too. I'll be at as many of them as I can!

I'm THRILLED with my stroller. We so desperately needed one and couldn't afford to buy one. I'd looked at garage sales but every one I found was sooo narsty I just couldn't imagine putting Becca in them.

So much for the nice walks for a bit though... I discovered I have a blood clot in my foot again. The last one was 5 yrs ago right after we moved down here. Hubby said to start taking an asprin a day and get it checked out asap.

Will and Kayden were SOOO cute together taking turns with the stroller.

Is there a get together this week in Midland? Sara mentioned something about one. It would be fun.

Just thought I'd pop on here and say hello. I decided to unsub from the yahoo group as I never had time to check it and was never able to make the get-togethers.

Anyway, our new baby arrived on July 1st - another boy. Nicholas Henry. He was just a wee thing, 6 lbs, 8 oz and 19 inches long. Had an incredibly fast and furious natural labor and birth. We're adjusting to life with three children and getting ready for school to start up again and going back to work.

Alison - I went ahead & decided set a date & possible time: spraypark Wednesday @ 11am. We can hit the farmers market too, if we want to.

Jenn -- it's great to "hear" from you! Congrats on your new little one. We'll have to post playgroup times here in case you can make one sometime.

cool !

I REALLY need to hit the Farmer's Market. I haven't had a car on Wed or Sat the last several weeks. Tim has class that day but if I can borrow Eric's car (I can if he's here but you never know with Mr. Freebird/no responsibilies...lol).

I'll try to be there.

I live in Midland, MI
I am a single mother to a recently turned 4 yr old daughter and basically feel like I am on another planet with my parenting.
I call it "organic" parenting. I exclusivly breastfed my daughter until she was 3.5 yrs. We co/slept from birth until about 3 months ago. I cloth diapered. Made my own baby food. I didn't sling her because of neck problems but she lived on my hip. She is encouraged to be free-spirited and form her own personality. I'm a massage therapy student and interested in all forms of Holistic healing. Overall we are just a very unique family.
I would like to see a group of like-minded families meet in the area. I would definantly be up for it.

Great to "meet" you! I'm sure Alison will be around soon to let you join the yahoo group where we chat quite often. My ds1 will be 4 in January & just weaned a month or two ago. He still crawls into bed with us/me in the middle of the night or early morning, though!
