Hi Ashley,

Yes I am strongly considering mama cloth. I used the keeper for many years before becoming pregnant and I am really hoping their size for after vaginal birth will work for me because I really liked it. I haven't started my period yet but once I do, I decided that I would love to not buy any more pads or tampons.

I don't know what mama cloth to get though! I also read about the diva cup but I have never had any kind of reaction to the gum rubber in the keeper so I might just stick with what I liked before.

It looks like the splash park is going to be packed with ap moms and babies--and some dads! My dh cannot come, he will be away all week
Ashley, you will have to tell me more about your greenseed job. I would like to get more involved, I am just not sure how much I can commit to with dd.
It was great to meet you Ashley and Kara (was anyone else at LLL last night from this group?).

Wow -- have fun ladies!! Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one -- I can't believe it's only 3 more weeks until we're there!

Carolynn, will you be here Labor Day weekend? That will be my last weekend up north for a while since the kids are starting school, soccer and hockey. LMK if you can get together that weekend though.

Arrg! We're moving in that weekend! We sign papers Sept. 2nd & move in that day. As much as I'd like to do something that weekend, I think I'll be too busy still.

Do any of you have a recomendation for a ped in Saginaw? I am not crazy about the one we saw here. Someone recommended Dr. Burkey at LLL, but he is not takig new patients. I also need to find a good vet for my dog.
Thanks

dr.'s balinski and balinska of bay city!!!

they are great. he is not circumsiced and says it is ultimately my choice whether to vax or not. very very kind people. they are a husband/wife team from poland. i love them.

vet

as for a vet, i go to my mother-in-laws practice in st.charles.

Yeah - I'm so glad you waited so I could come too! We'll be there. DH won't be coming. And I'm not saying my kids will be in a great mood cause that's usually naptime. Well, Katie will love it though.

We take our kids to Ann Connaghan in Bay City. She's pretty good about things. Although my son is circ'd. We pretty much vax on schedule as well, but delay some. She isn't thrilled with it, but listens to our reasons and goes with our decisions ultimately. We also took Christopher to Dr. Burkey a couple of weeks ago because of his weight and he was awesome. Too bad he isn't taking new patients.

dr's

balinski and balinska are definetly taking new patients. i rarely wait too long in there. i love them both so much. the only thing i wish is they were family doctors! as of now, i do not have a doctor for myself. i trust them to care for my son.

future get-togethers

i posted a poll on the yahoo group, but i see a lot of of mommas haven't subscribed yet. i really want to get together often, so i came up with a few ideas. the options i came up with, since a few are from bay city and saginaw, are as follows:
a. once a week in midland. b. twice a month in midland. c. once a week. two/month in midland. one/month in bay city. one/month in saginaw. d. twice a month. one in midland. one in bay city or saginaw.

i vote strongly for c!!!
I vote either C or D. Can I request that at least one of the get-togethers is in the evening or weekend? Since I'm headed back to work in a week, there's no way that I can do daytime get-togethers during the week.

I had a great time yesterday!

It was great to see everyone!

Thanks to all the moms, kids (and dad) who showed up at the Sprayground yesterday. It was so nice to put faces to names and vice versa! We missed you Alison!

I would probably be able to only do one gathering per month in Midland. Once school starts next week our schedules get kinda crazy!

kiltegirl -
my work sched is going to be 10am-6pm M-F starting really soon. i want to have the gatherings on the weekend. kara, you better come to at LEAST one a month!

I like option "C" as well -- so if some people are too busy one week they can always do the next, kwim? And we could do one of the Midland days on a weekend...
