OMGOSH! I will be keeping her in my thoughts and prayers and her little one. I am so excited for her though.

I am so in denial that we are actually all going to be giving birth here soon.

Marieke _ I'm glad everyting seems in check, and your MW isn't jumping off the deep end! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

mommy2julia - Thanks for the news!! If you hear from her, tell her we're thinking of her....the lung thing must mean NICU, no? Hopefully they are both thriving...can't wait to hear the story. I KNEW someting was happening!

Meanwhile, who has time to go on other threads, too? Man. I don't.

Who asked about my toes? I did manage to do them all, but they are a light color, not my regular dark colors which would show too many of the foul ups. I think that was the last time, though.

Today I physically could not put the vaccuum away (in a tight spot) and burst into tears. I hate being so limited by this belly!

Wait.

We're giving BIRTH?!?!?!?! Eeeeeeeeeeeekkkkk!

Most definatly means NICU...(im assuming..) I had a womyn in my birthing class who gave birth a month early and her babe was def in NICU and.. she had to give birth in a hospital ( I went to a birthing center) SO i'm not sure what that means for meg....
HMMMM.. I'll let you know if I hear anything more!
Oh did I mention she had a boy!

Wow - so Meghan had her son OMD wow!!! Okay - I thought I was ready.....I just don't know....I'm full term at 1 day shy of 38 weeks according to LMP - but I just don't know if I'm ready now.

My kids are driving me insane today - don't know why, they are being fine. DH just went up to check on Dorothy who is crying for some reason, she's been in bed for an hour.

I'm having major contractions that have been going on all day. They are really getting intense over the last hour. I wonder if tonight is it.

Today I got rid of an entire set of cabinets in the kitchen, cleaned the kitchen floor, reorganized under the sink, took Dustin's tv stand out and put in a new one, and removed a section of baseboard, chair-rail and the ugly wallpaper that hung in the area. If I don't have the baby tonight, I'm going to finish removing the boards and paper in the rest of the room tomorrow.

Right now I'm making meatloaf. YUMMY!!!

Wishing all of you well, and if Meghan is reading - CONGRATS, I hope that you and baby are doing well!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Hey everyone - What are y'all doing for father's day today? Poor Dh only gets to sleep a little late as we have so much to do today along the lines of baby preppin'.

He'll also get a pancake breakfast and a couple presents/cards, but then I've got to put him to WORK, lol. Yesterday we hung some cabinets in the bathrooms (thank you IKEA), and moved some stuff in the living room around, vaccuumed the car and switched DD's car seat, but we didn't get most of what we wanted done due to horrid traffic, an overly demanding/cranky/tired/refusing to nap DD, and pg weirdness.

PG Weirdness: I had a major PG meltdown around 5 pm that messed up the night. I don't know what happened. It was some combo of utter exhaustion and panic (what we call here a "wobbler"). I was trying to cook when my mind just went OUT - I forgot I had stuff on the stove, I got caught up with other stuff, I couldn't think straight, everything was in my way. I had to clean and organized but everythign I touched tumbled or slipped or I couldn't get to it which made it worse. It was weird. And then my feet got puffy. I tried to give DD dinner, which she rejected, so I just hid in the bedroom with some RRL tea and put my feet up.

Fast forward to almost 7 pm, DH ended up taking her to Office Depot and then for ice cream (Nice dinner!), but by the time they got back it was way past her bedtime, and she was wound up...he gave her a bath, and then let her watch a video (I tried to go to bed, but she wanted me with her)...ultimately I don't think she fell asleep until 9:30! And then still up this am at 5:45! UGH! We had just gotten her sleep back on schedule for 2 nights previously after a horrid week and a half...I'm rambling....sorry....just hate feeling my bizarro pg weirdness held the family hostage and I'm still exhausted with much to do.

I also found a bunch of oils and stuff that went rancid from DD's babyhood. Ugh.

Anwyay, are you all relaxing with family today or that nesting train?

Wow. Congrats to Meghan (the first one of us to go, I believe).

I hope she and the baby are both fine.

I heard back.. both baby and mama are doing great.. Her friend says that she'll get back online as soon as she gets internet accsess!
yeah for meghan!! i was thinkin of her and hoping she was doin ok.

so, considering my crazy insomnia, i actually had a pretty good sleep last night. i forced myself to take a bath around 11 and be laying in bed by 12. i didn't pass out till around 12:45 but i slept until 2:30! it was around 4:30 by the time i fell back asleep and that lasted all the way till 7! woohoo!!!

other than that and dealing with my itchy belly, i'm doing pretty well. baby is still posterior i believe but i'm getting a bit more comfortable, despite all the jabs to the ribs.

i feel like i'm starting to think too much about going into labor. this is my first little one so i know that when it all starts, i'm going to be running around like a chicken with their head cut off . i just want to be as prepared as i can...have all my homebirth stuff out and have enough juice, watermelon, and stuff like that

last night i made a mix for baby. it will be the first cd we put on after baby is born (if we can remember). starts off with a song called 'round the wheel', which was the first song we heard after we decided we wanted to have baby .

i can't stop thinking about holding baby already!!!

Oh, how exciting for Meghan!!!! I'm so glad to hear that she and babe are doing fine. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Tara? Tara? Are you there? If we don't hear from you soon ...

All is okay here. I had my first pre-natal with my monitrice (doula) on Saturday. We LOVE her. We talked for 2 hours, and totally see eye to eye. It's great to know we feel the same way about stuff ... I know I can trust her to take care of me when I'm feeling "incapacitated" during labor. She also talked with dh for a while and reassured him, and talked him through some things he can do to help me, and how she'll support him during the labor. I think he's starting to get scared, lol. I've been trying to prepare him, and tell him I'll probably be screaming, swearing, and saying "get this thing out of me RIGHT NOW", but that doesn't necessarily mean anything is going wrong :LOL .

It's my first baby, but I've been feeling pretty calm about labor (denial?) until recently. Now I'm starting to get spooked. It's really going to happen, isn't it?

My monitrice checked my urine and there was blood and leukocytes in it (and small amount of protein). She thinks I may have a UTI, yeast infection, and maybe GBS positive. Ick. I've been having lots of "vaginal discomfort", but chalked it up to general pregnancy annoyances (swelling, chafing, etc.), and even asked OB and she said the same (did not check me). Although annoyed that she didn't follow up, it's probably better this way, because she would have put me on antibiotics, lotrimin, etc. Instead, my monitrice recommended multidophilus and also propolis (made by bees), which has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. I've also been chugging cranberry juice and going to the bathroom lots. Am starting to feel a little less uncomfortable . I just hope like crazy I'm not GBS+, because I don't want to deal with the hep lock/IV, antibiotics, etc. Plus it means going to the birth center sooner, when I want to stay home as long as possible.

Other than that, I feel HUGE (am I really going to get BIGGER in the next 6 weeks?!?!?!), am uncomfortable, sleep like crap, etc. I'm in the home stretch. I'm in the home stretch. I'm in the home stretch.
