Any one else think Boohbah is just creepy ? I meet many adults who think so and KIDS JUST LOVE THEM.

I think it is a govermental conspiracy to normalize aliens and make them lovable....... so during the impending colonization are kids welcome them......

I think they are creepy too... and the humans on the show are just weird.
thankfully, my ds doesn't really want to watch this!

Someone on MDC posted a link to boohbahs.com... my 3 month old son was instantly and totally mesmerized, although we don't get it on TV around here.

Those things kind of freak me out, too.

Plus, why is it pronounced "bee-bah" and spelled "boobah." Those creepy things are waaaay to penile for kids IMO.... :LOL

thank you sistermama!!! hello!!! does anyone else think they look like a penis hiding in its foreskin!! i don't let my girls watch it...with their tv viewing limited, i'd like for them to watch something more educational....i've seen it a couple times and i just stare at the tv and think...hallucinogins (sp?)...all the tye-dye....definetly drug induced visions! LOL! ha ha ha! :LOL i think they just tried to rip off the teletubbies, but got it all wrong!

I have seen the dolls in the store and couldn't figure out which way was up until dh pointed it out. :

I finally saw the show for the first time last week and all I could think was they looked like an uncirc'd penis.

Maybe the conspiracy is a good one, to get kids used to seeing an intact male?

My dad just lectured me for 20 minutes the other day about how teletubbies are communists.

I didn't really know what to say to that.

He's a little odd, though.

Aren't teletubbies and boo-bahs kind of the same thing?

This is DH's opnion! Mine - creepy little buggers!! The Teletubbies AND Barney are in the creepy cuddles catagory too.

It's pronounced like it's spelled boohbah not beebah...

Yes they look like intact twig and berries - and they have slits on the top of their heads that color comes out of when the fly into a circle... but they only show that at the begining of the show

They are not the same as teletubbies just " devised" by the same person and put out by the same company. It is not a rip off it is a continuation of her television efforts - teletubbies had a set taping run and then she moved on.

The side with the eyes goes up ( on the dolls)

The humans in the show are ( to me) basically the SIMS.

They do stay with you, though. DS watched the show a few times (more than 2 less than 10) about a year ago and we still occasionally "play" boobahs or tell stories about them or make them out of duplos. Of course our favorite boobahs are the ones we make up names for...ring-a-ding-ding-bah, etc.

I think people on X would love them

Jumping in waaaay late. I think Boohbah is Teletubbies on acid. If I were a stoner, I'd totally dig that show I'm sure. Since I'm not, I just find it creepy.
