Deer and lilacs.............

I posted this question in Diggin' in the Earth, too.

We're building a house soon on several acres out in the country. It's a sunny meadow on the crest of a hill. I've always wanted lilac trees, but I'm worried about whether deer like to eat the blooms.

Do any of you have lilac trees out in the country? If so, do the deer eat them?

There are lots of lilac bushes around where I live and tons of deer. There are a lot of lilac blooms right now. So, if they eat them, they don't eat lots of them.
