In order to make our list of threads a bit shorter would everyone be interested in having a 1 general new thread each month that we can post to about anything? It would be easier to keep up with everyones progress, stresses, concerns, and questions. Again, if I can find out who the moderator is for this board I will make it a sticky and we can all find it easily.

I remember when I was pregnant with Gabi who is just 10.5 month now I loved comming to talk with all the mammas that were due the same month. It is not very often that woman have the chance to recieve and give so much support to so many woman from so many different locations. I hope this group will become very close, and see each other to the very end.

My Info. I have a 3year old DD. Breaunna Faith, born 4-4-02. She is fiesty and has lots of attitude just like her mamma. But really is a brite little girl and is talking about this baby a lot more than she ever did about her little sister. I have 10.5 month old Gabriella Analiese. Born 7-30-04. She has some attitude too. She is still nursing and just recently got her first tooth, OUCH!!! I am hoping for a smooth trasition with her and the new baby, but I am not dilutional, so I am just praying about it a lot.
My breast are a little tender but not like I remember with the other two. I am starting to get some uterine twiches when she nurses for a long period of time. Running to the potty constantly, occationaly to :Puke This is a first time thing for me. Maybe it's a boy. I would be more than happy to have all girls. I love dressing them up and always having a bow in thier hair. It's just wonderful.

This is my first time as part of an online birth group which I think is great. I found mothering after the birth of my second. I have a 7yr old who was great with the birth of her little sister, and is really excited with this next one. At one point she said there were too many babies in the house already but has claimed this one as her own. I'm feeling better with this one, but I only work part time some evenings during the week and Saturdays. With my last one I was on my feet 8hrs a day and around food smells all the time. I was so sick that when I found out I was pg, I was dreading it because of how I felt last time. I'm so happy that it's managable this time.
I'm looking forward to getting to know more people here.

My name is Rachel. I've been married for almost 12 years to my hs sweetheart. We have 2 boys that I am home with. Zachariah is 6.5 and will go to first grade in the fall. Garrett is 4 in August. WE are thrilled to be pg with number 3. I have been queasy but definatly not sick.So tired. We live in MN. I am looking forward to having a online group to get to know and compare notes. I have posted at mothering for a few years and have been a subscriber for at least 5-6. We CD : I am a LLL leader. I love quilting and reading in my spare moments.

I dont like general 1 threads for a month because they get SO long and hard to read. I think thats the point of having our very own due date club here, so it doesnt only have to be 1 thread a month.

ITA!! I don't care for wading through 100 post long threads, but will if that's what everyone decides...

I suppose those of us who like to have smaller easier to read and keep up with threads can post our own lol

Erin & Boobiemamma: Thank you so much for your input. All I am going on was my experience with my Aug Mamma group that was all due Aug '04. We still posted some individual threads. I was able to read through and see many posts about different things and reply to all of them in one post instead of writing several. I am still fairly new to MDC and love the mammas here. So thank you both again for your honest input.

Hi Mamas and future mamas~

My dh and I just found out we are pg on Wednesday, so it hasn't really set in yet. This will be our first, and we are very excited. I don't really have time for a long post now, but I'll come back later. I like the idea of the thread, in the TTC board, we had a weekly thread, and we took turns setting it up every week. Don't know if something like that would work or not. You could check it out~it's called the One Thread under Pregnancy and Birth>TTC. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. Congrats mamas!!

Hi guys,
I'm still a little freaked out/scared/excited to even be posting here. Just got back from vacation and found the double lines on the test...I hope to find friends that will be expecting around the same time (end of Feb.).

I have one son, Ben, who turned 2 in May, and I am a WOHM for 32 hours a week, so this is going to be one heck of a rollercoaster ride!

I had a terribly traumatic emergency C-section w/ds and I am going to do everything I can to ensure a VBAC this time around.

I am so glad to meet you and be part of this group!!

I'm kind of shocked to be here. DD is only 7 months old, but I got the bfp yesterday and tested again this morning with the same results. So here I am, looking at 2 under 2!

Since I've done the whole due date club fairly recently, I can chime in and say that I think a monthly thread is too much. My group last year did a weekly thread, but I don't think we really started them until a couple of months into it. It was nice to have a place to check in, they hardly ever got longer than 2 or 3 pages. We also posted other things like questions or problems etc.

Feels so weird to have a new due date club...

I don't like the monthly or weekly thread idea. We have our own board, why can't we just post when we feel like it? I personally won't read this thread so I won't have a clue what's going on with anyone. Why even bother having our own board if we're going to restrict ourselves to one thread? That said I am now going to start a post.

Hi Everyone

I'm kind of nervous to be joining this forum so soon... but think the support is just what I need. You see my husband and I just got a BFP this past weekend and are thrilled but so nervous and timid at the same time. This was our first attempt at TTC following a m/c this past April... it was an early m/c at 6 weeks and well looking at the timeline I am 5 weeks along and currently making my way through the 6th week so the fears are there for sure right now.

This all being said I can't wait to get to know you all better... : fingers crossed for all of our little one's are sticky little one's.

I guess what I liked about a weekly thread is that it was a great place to stop in and say "hi" when you didin't have a specific question or item to start a new thread. When you had something more specific to say than "still here, still growing a baby" you could start a new thread for that. as I said before, we didn't start the weekly thread thing until later on, so I think it's something that met our needs at the time. I feel the opposite way, that without a place to just check in regularly but not necessarily bring up a new topic or respond to a question, I might not be as active in this group.

I just want to be able to read about everyone and thier concerns. When we all start a new thread with a new question we just as easily will be reading through over 100 posts too. I never once was suggesting that we only have this one thread and Outlaw any others, that would be stupid, and is silly for anyone to have made that assumption by reading the beginning of this thread. Koala: wow, a 7 month old. Congrats and good luck to you. I am sure you will have lots to talk about in the comming months. A weekly might work even better once more people begin to : I was a part of the Aug '04 due date club and someone just started a new thread if the old one got too long, more than 3 or 4 pages. We all really started posting alot in the second and third trimesters. All of us still post to each other a lot and have remained a very tight group. Infact, when they found out I was pregnant they all said to make sure to post there and not just come over here and join a new group and forget about them. That's impossible cause they are the most supportive group of woman I have ever met. I was hoping for that to happen again.

Thankyou, you read my mind. That is the purpose for a general thread! And for the others too. I'll be here with you even if no one else is, but I won't be the one to start the next general thread. Talk about stressing a person out. I feel like I've broken the law.

I agree with you both! Koala, you took the words right out of my mouth! For instance, right now I just wanted to stop in and read what others had to say, and share my due date (Feb. 18th). I just found out that my husband's close cousin and his wife, who also got married last summer, and live one street over from us, are pg also! I'm excited~it will be #1 for both of us.

I have been a little disconnected from the pg because I hear about so many miscarriages. A friend of ours went out and told everyone right when she found out. She was already buying baby clothes galore, and people were giving her gifts, at three weeks! Well, she had a miscarriage at five weeks, and then had to deal with everyone talking about the baby. I guess that's why we want to wait to tell people, and why I'm having a hard time connecting. Any thoughts on this??

p.s. If I miss the letter A in my words, it's not because I can't spell (usually), but rather because the top of my A key is missing! :LOL
