WOO HOO feeling good this cycle. I am actually going to temp and do OPK's. Haven't done that in a very long time. Fall/Winter seem to be my more fertile times, since I have gotten pg both times during this time of year.

Anyone else pre ovulatory??

I am on CD23..but I still haven't o'ed. Can I join you ladies? I am starting to feel really defeated here. Lots of tears. If I just saw ONE positive OPK ever I would feel better...but nothing. SO I am hoping it will be soon...and that it will catch.
LOts of baby dust to you all!!!

Count me in on this one!!!!

I am on cd7 and just gave myself my 5th shot of Follistem. Go to the RE tomorrow to see how my follicles are doing in there love those follicles!!!!

This will be THE cycle...... hoping and praying and singing and lighting candles for us all!

AdinaL: My cycle before last, I had was on cd 45 (anovulatory cycle) and went to the weekly Lamaze class with my sister for whom I am her labor coach and I GOT MY PERIOD!!! I am convinced that somehow all those pregnancy hormones helped me..... and maybe the deep breathing and relaxation I'd been working on with my sister?!

Adina, (((HUGS))) I'm so sorry. If O isn't going to show, then I hope AF does so you can move to a +++cycle. I think this last cycle was annovulatory for me, but I didn't start keeping track until about a week or so ago, lol.

Birdwomyn~ I hope that your follistem is working. I was supposed to start that last year, but decided to wait.

Count me in-I'm on CD 4 today. I have an appointment with a new OB on December 19th, so at least one more cycle before I get any testing done. This OB has lots of surgical experience, so maybe I'll get that lap done. My last 2 OB's have been unwilling to do so much as an ultrasound, despite a long history of pain and other endo sysmptoms. One wanted me to try and get pregnant, the other wanted me on the Pill, which makes me depressed and gain weight. I want clear answers! So hopefully this OB will be more helpful. i never thouth I'd be begging for MORE medical intervetion in my life. I think the fact that my HMO directly runs these clinics doesn't help. So we'll see-i'm hopeful.

cheers,
-Tuli

Tuli,

Is your new OB a RE? (Reproductive Endocrinologist) I've found that until I went to an OB who specialized in RE, I had no luck with dealing serioulsy with my endo or my PCOS. My previous OB just kept saying lose weight in the same breath she's say you may have PCOS -- yet never addressed the connections between the two and the impact they have on fertility. It was so frustrating.

I hope you have lots better luck with this new one. I too was wanting a more natural process of TTC (for me, that would have been self-insemination) but I am grateful that medical help is available since I obviously need it!

GOOD LUCK and baby dust.

Hi Karen and Tuli!!!

cd3 for me - Wow! Since I had the closest thing to a regular cycle last time, we are all still cycle buddies! Woohoo! Let's go show 'em and all end up on the preg boards next month!!!!

Tuli,
An ultrasound will not show endo! Endo is usually the same density as the tissue around it, and won't show up. I'm glad you've changed doctors, but you really really need to see a specialist and have that lap you've been putting off. A regular obgyn is not the best person to perform lap surgery, and can actually make things worse! Trust me on this, I've been there done that, TWICE! Go find someone who does nothing but reproductive surgery, and they will make it all better. And all this coming from me, and I am scared to death of doctors and hospitals - I can' t tell you how much better I felt after I found a specialist and had my last lap. I surely would never have gotten pregnant the first time without his help. Sorry I'm so adamant about it, but if you read my endo story at my website, you'll see why.

It's so great to have all of you here! Lots of baby dust to ALL of us in this coming cycle!!

I go in tomorrow for my ultrasound and hCG shot - then it's IUI #9 ( ) for me on Saturday! I'll be starting a new 2ww then... unless anyone else is there before me.

Good luck to everyone! This has got to be our time!

Stafl and Byrdwoman,
Thanks for the input. I haven't really been putting off the lap, though. I am unable to self-refer to an RE or other reproductive surgeon, and have been getting no help from my last OB, who said that I either need to go on the pill or try and get pregnant. I have read that an ultrasound can show some endo as well as other problems, so it seems like it wouldn't hurt to look, as it's also part of a basic infertility work-up. I do realize that it not a reliable diagnostic tool for endo, but I'm also concerned about ovarian cysts and other problems that might have some of the same symptoms. I'm still going back and forth on what to do, and now my insurance is changing so I have more options. I still have to start with an OB, and I have a reccomendation from a friend that I might go with. I think I'll call that clinic and ask which OB there has the most RE experience. Does that sound logical?

thanks again,

-Tuli

P.S. Stafl, congratulations on the "normal" cycle!
