This week I feel pregnant and I feel fat. Both.

today is my dd's birthday. She is now two. It makes me sad. good thing I have another on the way. We are going out for dinner tonight for her birthday, which I really need because I have 5 kids in my house all week (2 are mine and 3 arent) so I am going to be really tired

I woke up this morning and realized that I'm just a big boob. A HUGE boob, actually. They're out of control. At least they sort of even things out, and make my tummy and rear end look small in comparison. :LOL

As for me, I had a major pregnant woman hysteria last night. Here's the short version. DP and I are trying to save money to move out. I live with my mom and dad. He lives with his sister and BIL and their two kids. We are not expecting to be able to afford to buy a house right now. We are looking to rent. However, I went from making $10 an hour to making $8.50 and my DP makes $8.50 as well. Between the two of us, we should be able to save at least a few hundred dollars every paycheck, considering we're not paying a huge amount of rent or anything.
We just got paid on Friday and we have $60 combined until July 1st. I bought two wool covers off Ebay, took my son to a movie and spent about $10 on shipping for Amy's swap package.
How the he** are we so bad with money? We are never going to be able to move out.

Jellyfishy...I don't get boobies until my milk comes in, so I'm a little jealous. And I know you're thinking, why???? I have boob envy. The bigger my belly gets the smaller mine look. But they work fine, so I guess I shouldn't complain. Though once this last babe weans I will have nothing for the rest of my life and that makes me sad.

Ashe....sometimes when you are trying so hard to save money it stresses you out and makes you spend more money. We have budget struggles and debt up to our ears. I hate balancing the account. Some months are definitely better than others and I find after I've really been careful for a month or two, I then go nuts and spend way to much the next month. It will all work out, just hang in there.

Kenna and I are doing water babies this week. Which should be great...I love the water, she loves the water. But once we get in, she doesn't want to get back out! And she had a major meltdown yesterday when it was time to leave. I'm not sure how to handle that better, but we love the class. We've always called Kenna our river rat...she was conceived when we lived on the river and we spent the last few weeks of her pg living on the same river just further north. She throws more tantrums over water than any other thing, so I guess it's her passion. I swear she would swim if I'd just let her go. Did I mention I hate to wear a bathing suit? Ugh, I'd rather be nude.

I have 3 nights off kitchen duty while some church members feed us dinner during revival. That's nice. But I've gotten lazy and there are dirty dishes in the sink and we have no groceries. But the house is clean.

Kenna's finally up, so I need to find her some breakfast. Have a great week everyone.

So, I am at home today when I would normally be at work. Why?

Yesterday, I woke up with a huge headache (never had them until preggo) and felt tired before I even got out of the bed. Went to work sipping coffee to be alert. Fogot to eat lunch. Was walking up the concrete stairs at my second PT job and fell...hard...in front of two other people! Very smooth. Thankfully there is a clinic on site where the nurses always love on me. (It's a homeless shelter for guys in recovery.) They cleaned up my bloody legs, ankles and toes then bandaged me up. Well, I fell a little harder than I thought b/c I limped around all afternoon and night. I tossed and turned all night, couldn't get comfortable. Argh...

Woke up today to the sound of my dog using the floor as his personal toilet (for both #1 and #2). He totally knows better. So, I am trying to manuever my crippled self around at 5:45am (NOT a morning person at ALL!) to clean it. Argh...

Went back to bed and forgot to wake up. I can kinda go in whenever but like to be there before 10am. Yeah, not happening today. Feels nice to rant about this. Thanks!

DID, I do hope you all are able to find an affordable place of your own or that something else will work out for you to be together soon.

Ugh! This week sucks, and it's only Tuesday. How am I ever going to make it until Friday?

Crsta33- I just notices that we both have baby girls born in October 2003 and another baby due in November 2005. How weird!

Gunter- It sounds like your week is going as well as mine. I hope you heal up quickly.

Here is my rant. I'll try to be short. Saturday night DD was up all night with a fever. Sunday we drove 2 hours to visit DH's family. We were soooo tired. Sunday night I was up all night again with DD with a fever, 103. Monday I took her to the doctor and just as I thought she has an ear infection (in both ears). Last time she had an ear infection and fever she had a febrile seizure. They are supposed to be harmless but awful to watch your child go through. So we try to be very careful. Yesterday she started pooping like crazy. This morning she pooped and took her diaper off in the dining room before I could get to her. I just can't wait for this week to be over! I am trying to clean the house (it's a mess) because I have friends coming over for lunch tomorrow. Then DH's family is coming to visit this weekend. At this point I just want to sneak away to Hawaii and relax on a beach somewhere (ALONE!). I think I am going to ask DH for a girls night tomorrow and go see a chick flick or something.

DH and I went to see the doctor today- he's been referred to the community psychiatric team to get help with his anxiety, and I've been passed to a counsellor to give me someone to talk to about how his anxiety makes me feel. I feel, quite frankly, empty.
And my bump has shrunk because baby is lying sideways on, kicking all out of my side. I don't really feel pregnant at all.

Hi, I usually just lurk, but I feel like joining in the rant this week. I am 17 wks along, and have had HG (hyperemesis gravidarum) for the last 12 weeks. I had this with my dd too, and it didn't end until I was 30 weeks. While this alone makes being pregnant hard enough, I have to deal with ignorant friends and family who think I am just a dramatic pregnant lady with "morning sickness". Yes, I enjoy going to get i.v.'s weekly and puking up 10x a day or more while trying to chase around a very active 2yo
I've lost 15lbs and counting, don't look pregnant (my BIL loves to tell me I look bloated, and to lay off the salt : ).
Anyway, my dh is a love and does all the cooking and errands, and tries to help clean as much as he can. So I guess it could be worse. I can't give in to feeling sorry for myself to often, it is a vicious circle. Anyway, I'm supposed to take dd to Disneyland tomorrow, and am somewhat dreading what is bound to be a public puking extravaganza Wish me luck. Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm sorry so many mamas are having bad weeks. Things seem to go in cycles around here. I am home today because the sitter has a really sick (maybe death, I got the message second hand) family member and had to go to TN. So I dont even know if she will be back in town by tomorrow or at all this week. I shoudl have driven 25 miles into downtown to get my computer to "work from home" but I dont care. I am so over my job. Its so boring there right now, everything is pending on this new system we are getting and no one can make up their mind on what they want.

We are still waiting to hear about that job for DH. The guy is back from vacation, but he hasnt returned DH's call from yesterday. WTH? If he doesnt get the job after all this, I will just cry.

Being home with DS is tough, but I know this is where i need to be. His special needs are getting worse every day and someone has to be here to help him with it. He is in Vacation Bible School this week, the sitter set it up since she was volunteering in another class. I took him today and he was in the "special needs" class. It just broke my heart to see my little guy in a class with obviously special needs kids. Sometimes its hard to come to grips with reality and easier to delude yourself when your child "looks" typical (and everyone has been telling you that its all in your head for the past 3 years!).

Anyway, other than that, just feeling little flutters a lot now. Trying to get some exercise and eat right so my MWs dont risk me out of a HB.

OK, my week has been "crappy" -- still recovering from antibiotic induced "stomach problems" and yes, I am on probiotics! I even bought the expensive powder ones -- don't ask how much they cost but after >2 weeks of this I just want to eat again -- I know the baby needs more than white rice, toast and juice but I am sure s/he is sucking what she needs from my formerally well-nourished body. Of course all this time on the couch has allowed me plenty of time for MDC and all my other favorite sites.

Christa -I hear you on the boob thing, I now fill a size A for the first time in my life.

Gunter -- I went through a bad headache spell that lasted so long that I was thinking it might be that way till the birth -- but that is over so there is hope!

I have done 2 days of hypnobabies and highly recommend it so far. Even it if did nothing for the birth it's worth it for the relaxation. I think I am becoming addicted to it.

We interviewed a doula last night and liked her a lot. Our Pomeranian went right up to her and he is usually quite shy. I will call some of her refs but we have a good feeling about her.

AmyGirl...that's cool. Think we might have similar outcomes again? I'm thinking boy this time. That is when I'm not thinking twins.

Julia...exactly. It's nice that my bras finally fit. I went up to a C when my milk came in and stayed a nice small B for the duration of nursing. But when we weaned at 17 months, I shriveled to smaller than I've ever been. I may nurse this one until college!

Swimming went much better today. She was content to leave when it was time and the only crying was b/c the instructor took her to have her "swim" back to me. I shouldn't have let that happen and I hope I haven't made her even more frightened of strangers by allowing it. Every time the instructor came back by, Kenna would grab on to me and hide her face. :

Whoa -- my breasts have been the same size since I was 14 so even this minor increase has been a big deal for me. I cannot even imagine being a C for a moment. I would feel like a porn star.

crsta- ditto on the boobs! I shriveled down to an A after weaning, now I am a comfortable C and feeling quite voluptuous! The thing that totally sucks is that when we have these huge boobs, we can't really enjoy them- right now they hurt too darn much, and I don't know about anyone else, but when I was nursing I really didn't enjoy having them touched at all.

Gunter- ugh, what a week so far! I sure hope you're feeling better and the dog decides to stop using the floor as his potty!

plagio- sorry you are still having GI issues Hope this is over soon and you can start eating for real again!

Okapi- sorry you've had such terrible HG! I hope it ends soon. I do hope you are feeling ok for Disney tomorrow!! Stop in again sometime soon and let us know how you're doing!

AmyGirl- sorry dd is so sick---we dealt with rotavirus not too long ago and the clean up was soooo awful!!


As for me...I've been dragging and exhausted all day, bloated, and no appetite which is HIGHLY unusual for me! Then this afternoon I've started having a terrible sharp pain in my right side- I am so worried that I have appendicitis!!! I don't have a fever or nausea or vomiting though. Maybe I overdid it in yoga last night- I think I will go to the pg class from now on to finish out the semester. My uterus and skin just feels like they are stretching soo tightly- maybe it's just pain from the stretching?? Thankfully ds was ok this afternoon and dh didn't get home too late from work, so I am just parked on the couch not moving and I HOPE it goes away! I have a work meeting tomorrow that I have to be at!

Hi Everyone! How are ya? Sorry ya'll are having a bad week so far. Mine isnt far from that but we'll get to that in a minute.

JellyFish I feel ya. My husband has started calling me boob. Not to be mean but because mine have grown so much. It's so bad I have to special order my bras online. 75$ a bra is sooooooooooo not cool. UGH!

Ok now for me... hehe... I'm doing okies. Got rest and feeling tons better. In process of getting OB's changed. Waiting on insurance now. Had my big U/S today... Grrrr... The tech had the little wand thing on me for maybe 15 minutes and took measurements of the head, chest, leg, and arm. Did the heartbeat which was 152 and weighed it. It was 12 ounces. Then she said my scar tissue from my c secs was making it hard for her to see anything else so she sceduled me for 6 weeks from now on Aug 2. UGH! I got a clear view though and it looked like a girl to me. My boys I remember how they looked. She said she didnt get a really clear shot but at first she thought girl then boy but it might have been cord then she thought girl again. So we dont know yet. Hehe... Hubby is rather upset. She didnt do a very good job at all. And didnt point anything out. He says all he could see was an arm and the head. I feel bad for him. But thats ok. OH and from what the tech could tell the baby is healthy. Thats really all I care about. So theres my news. Hope ya'll are doing ok! Take care everyone!

Oh Okapi, good luck with the public barfing adventure. I'm sure your dd will have a marvelous time, but poor you. HG sounds truly awful. I feel for you.

And all our crazy boobs! :LOL I'd been meaning to start a boob thread actually. DP called me "Areola City" the other night. Haha! My boobs are monsters & my nipples are even huger. They're all out of control. I too was a full A cup before, an now a big full C cup & am loving them. It's true they are sensitive but I have to enjoy them now before they're leaking milk all over the place!! :LOL

I've been freaking out a lot this week about my insane Braxton Hicks. Arg. AND.. we bought a minivan! We're like sooOOoo old now. Haha. I've always driven little sedan things, til today. We bought a Toyota Sienna on Sat, finally got the insurance issues sorted out today, & me & the kids took our first drive. It's a huge gray whale. I love it. I've wanted a van for a zillion years. I can't believe I drive a minivan.

Zjande, you are too funny about the minivan! Hubby and I have shared my old Wrangler for three years, and the thought of having to get not just another car but a FAMILY car is freaking us out, too! We're in the very early stages of pricing station wagons. Who'da thunk?

And while I am totally committed to breast feeding, I am totally NOT looking forward to losing my boobs as an erogenous zone. Right now's great -- they're sensitive but not sore -- but my sister started "leaking" at 6 months, so I feel like the great sexy time is running out! I know some others of you have mentioned your increased libidos, too, and I just can't help but think how odd it is that the sex drive increases when the baby's already cookin' -- I mean, biologically, wouldn't you think we'd be this ravenous when we're ovulating? That would be the most likely fit for the selfish gene theory, anyway. Of course I'm not overthinking it, just enjoying it!

I don't know if I have posted on here since we moved in with bil and I don't know when I will get a chance again since our pc is in storage! We are supposed to be moving into a hotel for a couple weeks today after my visit with the midwife. This was supposed to be a short term thing, but it looks like we are going to be moving from Louisiana to Florida sometime in July. Things are way too crazy around here! We had an u/s last week found out the bump is a boy and everything looks good with his heart. Then Friday I got a trip to the ER with high bp for about the 3rd time in a week. I will be talking with my midwife about that as I am pretty concerned about it going so high this early. Hopefully dh will be able to find our pc in storage and I will be able to get online again soon!

I have been really crampy today. Baby's been moving around a lot so I'm not terribly worried.
However, I had a nasty dream that my midwife was scheduling me for a c-section at 38 weeks without my permission and for some reason I had no say.
We are planning a UC but continuing with prenatal care and the birth will occur at home under the guise it was an accident. My family thinks I'm nuts for seeing a midwife, and I don't think they would be able to handle me planning a UC.
I think I've resolved most of my financial issues with some clever adjustments to payments date, since this coming month I will have an extra paycheck. I figure by September/October we should be able to save enough to move. Keep your fingers crossed for me though. And keep me off Ebay :LOL
