When will you start to set things up? - Page 2

Since this baby was a BIG surprise, we don't have much of anything. We have the furniture from our other girls, but that's it. We thought we were done. I donated EVERYTHING!! All the clothes, toys, baby equipment(co-sleeper, high chair, baby biorn, etc) UGH!! We don't what little one is yet, so we haven't purchased any clothes yet. The one lucky thing is we never painted over the nursury walls. We were using it as an office to be repainted at a later date. We just have to move all the furniture back into that room after we clear it out. My dh is a teacher and has the summer off so we want to get the room done before he goes back to work. We are shooting for mid August to have everything moved. Then my girls get to start picking out things for the baby.

Things are pretty much set up. DD still sleeps in the crib. So the big thing is to get her to sleep in her BIG GIRL room. We got that all ready a few months ago. Right now she just plays in there.

We will probably drag out all of the baby gagets (swing, bouncer, and bassinett) a week or so before the due date. DH is in charge of putting it all back together.

The clothes are already washed and hung in the closet (collecting dust no doubt).

Well guess what you guys made me do?! This thread prompted me to pick up my search on Craigslist for cheap, good, needed baby stuff so I'm picking up a dresser I found for 10 bucks tomorrow!! AND I emailed someone about a pack-n-play they're selling for only $15. Wooo hoo! See?? I can be a planner too!! :LOL

:LOL Reading this thread makes me feel so much better about the nesting instinct going on in my head. DH is continually shaking his head as I talk about things that are months away (like where to fit the Christmas tree in our small 1br apt w/ 2 babes!!) We are VERY short on space, but we have most everything still from DS so I don't have to worry too much about setting things up.. My main thing is getting the apt cleaned for our homebirth and feeding my freezer in a few months
