Last Friday I lost my vision It was in between blurry & complete lose of vision if that makes sense. It progressively became worse & I would at first be dizzy standing, then became dizzy sitting down as well. When we went to the dr she said that it hypoglycemia. I need to increase my protein levels.

Anyone else going through this?

OMG : Are you OK? Has it come back- I mean, I'm assuming that if you can type, you can see a little?
No experience here, just hoping you're OK.

Wow -- I know it is VERY SCARY to have vision problems -- when I had some due to migraines I was really freaked out till I learned what it was. At least now if it happens again you should know that you'll be OK. Since the doctor checked you out I guess she ruled out detached retina or anything serious like that. Best wishes for speedy recovery -- cottage cheese has LOTS of protein if you are having trouble eating meat.

Ive had a cpl tiny episodes, but nothing major like the one I had last week. I also forgot to add that when we went to SC a cpl weeks ago I also lost all my vision besides straight ahead..that was my first incident.

I have a call in to my nurse since I it happened today a cpl hrs after eating a peanut butter & jelly sandwich..so more tests may be done at tomorrows appt we'll have to see when she calls me back

i notice changes in my eyesight when im hungry.. i ididn't ever think of hypoglycemia, but i have that when im not pregnant, so i know its way worse when i am.. i remember to bring high protein snacks with me everywhere like nuts and stuff, in case of emergency.

How scary!! I'm glad it was 'just' hypoglycemia and not something more serious! I am very hypglycemic even when not pg, terribly when nursing. I bring tons of food with me everywhere I go, eat lots of good yogurt, cheese, odwalla bars, granola with nuts, drink milk, make breads and cookies with nuts and seeds in them for protein, put nut butters in and on everything...It is a pain always packing and lugging all this food around with me, but if I don't I"ll be miserable.

Good luck, it will be interesting to see what other tests they do and what they find out.
