Thank you all for your warm thoughts! I'm terrified!!! I have to be at the hospital at 7:30am CST tomorrow morning, and I"m worried that the alarm won't go off, or that something will cause us to be late....don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight!

My dh will post on here probably on Wednesday to let you all know how things went and with a picture too I'm sure. I look forward to seeing who all has their baby while I"m out!

No, it's not all that matters. Healthy mom and baby is the top priority but it is not all that matters. A woman can be happy and grateful for her healthy baby and at the same time grieve the birth she lost. Many women deeply feel that grief and do so for a long time. It's important to recognize her feelings and not discard them. By saying all that matters is a healthy mom and baby gives the implication that any feelings of sadness or even anger about the birth are unjustified. As well intentioned the comment may seem....it can really hurt women.

MOD, I hope you have a safe and uncomplicated birth. I am sorry your vaginal birth did not become reality, and at the same time grateful that we have cesareans when they are needed. Your baby will be in your arms soon. Sending you fast healing vibes.

Thank you. This was one of the most painful parts of my c-section- no one wanted to allow me to grieve or even be upset because we were "okay." Well I wasn't okay just because my body was and my baby was.

Anyway, I'm thinking of you MoD!
