Can any of you drink coffee these days?

Just curious, I smelled some coffee today and it smelled yummy but the thought of actually drinking any made me want to lie down in a cold sweat.

Any coffee drinkers still sipping away happily?

Okay, maybe it's time for me to stop pretending to work and go try to do something productive!

Um, I thought you weren't supposed to drink coffee in pregnancy. I read that even 2-3 cups a day greatly increases your chances of miscarriage.

Well, 2-3 cups a day is a lot more than one. I haven't been able to much, gave it up while TTC, but am having a small cuppa right now (mostly milk) to ward off a headache. It's staying down. But I am feeling better today and yesterday in the nausea department.

I drank a cup a day from about 10 weeks on with DS, no problem. I think in small amounts it's OK. Just don't go crazy and remember soda, chocolate, tea all have caffeine too.

I LOVE coffee, but I'm not touching any form of caffeine during the first trimester.

One of my first signs of pregnancy is that coffee makes me sick. I haven't had any since about week 4 and that was decaf. I look forward to the second trimester so I can have coffee again!!

I have one cup in the morning. And I don't drink soda or tea after I have had a cup in the morning so that is the only caffeine I have.

I was planning to keep drinking one cup a day if I wanted, but then a couple weeks ago, BAM, it was suddenly nasty to even think about. My parents came over and stayed last night, and this morning when they brewed their coffee I was gagging from the smell in my closed upstairs bedroom with the window open. No more coffee for a while. And now that I'm "off" caffeine, I figure why go back during pregnancy? I'll just have decaf if it stops being nasty.

Gave up caffine almost entirely with Charlotte. (would have a soda once a week for a bit treat)
With Silas I couldn't get through without caffine. Cut it down to 1-2 cups per day but really I wasn't able to do without. (working, a child under 1 and pg again not a great reason I know but you've got to do what you've got to do.)

This time around, coffee turned my stomach a bit one day. I've managed to drink it once or twice though (I lurve my coffee)
So we're taking it as it goes.
