New pics

I posted some new pics here, just a few...

In the "Shea is born" album there are also some new ones but I don't know if I linked to them yet. I'm a photo posting freak. So I apologize.
I was trying to get a picture of my son's hands with Shea's so that's why there's multiple of that and some are blurry.
I can't believe how big Tristan's hands look now. They look bigger than MY hands and I didn't even look at the baby's hands first and then look at his, he's just big now. *sigh* I knew that would happen.
There's actually this kid who was in his class who had HUGE hands that I always looked at in awe, now his hands look like that.
Having a hard time looking at my son at night too since for the last couple of nights he fell asleep on his own and usually I have my arm around him. Last two nights it's not been on purpose either, almost like a higher power taking care of it for me and it brought on the first tears.
Actually I'm lying. On Wed evening (shea was born that a.m.) my in-laws called and even though they were being nice (I can't even tell you what they said, I was collecting garbage at the time rofl!), I totally broke down afterwards. I was like huh.... maybe postpartum is brought on by in laws!!! Eureka!!!!
Anyway they called at a horrible time. I had just announced I was going to bed and then of course ds asked for a grilled cheese sandwich. This is the third time this week he's pulled this making me want to cry. At least this time I wasn't naked! So anyway I was making that or going to, then had to go upstairs for something and they also called. Reminded me of that email that circulates about the woman who says she's going to bed early and on the way she does this this and that and by the time she gets into bed all of her kids are in bed and so is her dh.
And this is on the same day I had given BIRTH! I'm superwoman!! LOL!! I so don't feel like it but I just think it's funny. Some people would take advantage of already being home by like laying themselves up in bed with some pop tarts, others like me will feel like so good and start collecting garbage.
And guess who didn't take it out in time the next morning!?!?!??!
Oh yeah, pictures are up. That's what this was supposed to be about!

oh, Karen, congratulations! I loved reading your preliminary birth story. Shea is so gorgeous. I, too, can't get over that hair! She has a beautiful perfect little face. And Tristan looks like such a proud big brother. I'm glad you got all those hand pictures. They're really neat.

BTW, I've enjoyed lurking with your posts, and I'm so glad to see your natural pregnancy and birth finally come to fruition. What an awesome reward!

Baby Blues and In Laws

I totally agree that postpartum is brought on by in-laws. I was weepy and irritable after coming home from the hospital, and then, surprise surprise, all of it lifted within ten minutes of their departure! :LOL

Kristin--
Thanks so much I was actually scared that all of my dreams and efforts might end up being in vain but it really ended up happening and I can't believe it. However, it just seemed so right so it really isn't so unbelievable after all!!!
When I get a chance there are two things I want to do. I want to take some of our pics and do sepia toned ones, and I want to write the whole birth story! I'm thinking I may only share it with people here, it might be tmi for some others.
Oh yeah the other thing I want to do is take some pics of the baby with flowers around her. Turn those into sepia as well...

Swedemom--
Tristan will be 5 at the end of September. We got some good rest this a.m.! I think ds woke up around 8:30 or 9 and wanted to start talking and playing of course. DH took him downstairs and left me and the baby upstairs. Would you believe we didn't wake up till 11:30? And that's because ds came upstairs to start talking again If only we had paid paternity leave... Things could be that great every day. I can't complain though, co-sleeping has been great so far and her sleep/wake cycles during the night have only involved sleeping and eating, no sleeping and wide eyes take a look at everything around me and kick and flail for an hour or two like she has during the day. Then again she's not even a week old so we'll see... I'm hoping nights will remain the same.
