I had a c/s 6 months ago and pg again.....

Should I have any concerns with getting pg this early after? It was a surprise pg. My dr didn't warn me about it at my 6 weeks check-up. And he doesn't know I'm pg again......should I take precautions or anything?

My bely is no longer sore from the c/s and I've never had a problem with the incision or anything.

I ahd a c-section with my twins and then at 6 months PP I got pregnant again. I wanted a totally different experience and I did not want another c-section so I went to a drect entry midwife. I had a 9 and a half pound VBAC waterbirth.

It takes between 6 and 9 months for your incision to heal after a cs. Your uterus is less likely to rupture if the second conception was 9 months after the cs, but rupture is still rare in any case. If you got pg at 6 mos, it is definitely safer than at 3 mos. It could be worth a shot at vbac, but probably better in a hospital than at home, just in case.

I lost Sweetpea at 7 weeks so now its a non-issue. But i had a dr tell me it was because of the c/s....but I don; believe it!

C-secs have an increased risk of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancies, unfortunately. And decreased fertility.

It's a risk, not a guarantee, of course. Some women will experience these issues, some won't.

Further, if you were induced, your risk for miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, placenta abruptio, placenta previa, all increase.

Being induced and having a C-sec would combine the rate of risk increase for these problems.
