What happened to Marvin? (comic strip-- possible spoilers??)

We don't get the paper, except online and at DH's grandma's house. This past weekend I saw that Bitsy was sad that Marvin had gone to the hospital???? What happened?
King syndicate doesn't release their current strips (which is normally okay, since i catch up on my comics about once a month, but this time it is aggravating!) so I have been overly worried about Marvin (a strip I don't normally read, BTW) because I don't know what happened. i am WORRIED about the comic character!

I read it occasionally and he came home from the hospital yesterday or today- don't remember. I don't know why he was there, I think they said a respiratory illness or something, but I didn't see where he went in, just saw the dog being worried.
