does aaron copeland make you cry?

I can't listen to the appalachian spring opera without getting misty.

Yep, actually his music can make me cry. It is just so moving. I used to imagine Appalachian Spring as eagle's soaring through the crisp air, and flowers blooming. Did you know he didn't actually name the piece? That is about a pioneer couple as they make their way West?

Anyway, it's one of my favorites along with Buckaroo Holiday.
