I need some links please

Thread Starter
I am going to keep trying with my sister, she might hate me forever, but I feel I have to try and save his penis. Besides we were never that close anyway, she lives in FL I live in NM we see each other once a year, I feel I have to at least keep trying, I couldn't live with myself if I didn't keep fighting for her to see how wrong it is. By the way her reason for circing (she is 29 weeks pregnant) is "it's what is right for my family". :

Ok so more links, I'd like:

A link to what the forskin actually does, it's purpose, isn't there one "it's more than a piece of skin?" I really need to save links

A link on the money trail, why doctors keep doing this barbaric thing to our newborn babies to line their pockets.

Also I once saw a link to an adult penis getting erect, it has a pen line draw at the top of the forskin and one where the circ would be done, and it showed how the forskin slid down the shaft.

Feel free to add your favorite link, one that swayed you, made you think twice..... She says she's read the stuff I've given her but that there are "two sides" to it and they are going to circ. I just can't believe that if she has read even the 4 links I've sent her that she could still believe that there is even another side, anyway I'd love some help, a quote anything. I think I've tried everything, but I just need to keep trying. Oh I'm recording all the P&Tellers in hopes of getting the B*ull$ tape to send her that too.

You could go for the ewwww factor

How about, "they sell the foreskins to biomedical companies, where do you think your son's will end up?"

http://www.organogenesis.com/product...n/physical.asp - used for testing cosmetics, very nice for animals, not so hot for little boys.

http://www.pharma.us.novartis.com/pr...f/apligraf.pdf

http://www.cambrex.com/Content/biosc...id=NHEM&noCK=Y
At this website you can BUY foreskin-derived melanocytes.

http://www.cambrex.com/Content/Docum...poster_web.pdf
That same website's Melanocyte info sheet. A quote:
"NHEM [Melanocytes] are isolated neonatal foreskin tissue resulting from routine circumcision..."

http://cellapplications.com/HEM.htm
Another site's info on Melanocytes. Quote:
"Human Epidermal Melanocytes (HEM) are primary cells isolated from normal human neonatal foreskin."

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/5589161.html
Page on Melanocyte preparation.

http://www.cascadebio.com/
More melanocyte foreskins for sale here.

6xT25 flasks of proliferating cells are $495 !!

http://www.cascadebio.com/index.cfm?...ontent&CID=429
(that's Keratinocytes)

http://www.cascadebio.com/index.cfm?...ontent&CID=496
(Melanocytes.)

http://www.cascadebio.com/index.cfm?...ontent&CID=437
(neonatal endothelial cells)

There are more types of cells for sale, but I'm sure you get the picture.

FORESKIN KERATINOCYTES
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=for...en-US:official
11,500 google hits

For the John Hopkins center you need to go to the search site

http://altweb.jhsph.edu/

and put in "foreskin" which will bring up the summary of the research papers mentioned, and others.

http://altweb.jhsph.edu/publications...aatex01_3a.htm
From Johns Hopkins site.
"This 3-dimensional Dermal Model, which consists of several layers of human, foreskin-derived, metabolically active fibroblasts grown to form a tissue equivalent on nylon mesh, was used as the substrate to test the toxicity of 12 chemicals"
"©Copyright 1997-2004 The Johns Hopkins Center For Alternatives To Animal Testing / altweb@jhsph.edu. All rights reserved."

http://altweb.jhsph.edu/publications...1/iva37_1g.htm
"We now examine further the functional activity of the HPA axis in the skin, by characterizing the actions of CRH on normal foreskin keratinocytes. "

Fibroblasts:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=fib...en-US:official
21,300 hits for fibroblast foreskin.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract
"Fibroblast cultures derived from neonatal foreskin explants have been an important model for understanding the basic mechanisms of fibroblast function and activity. Neonatal foreskin has been routinely usedfor establishing such fibroblast cultures in vitro."

"We found that outgrowth and propagation of viable fibroblasts in vitro occurred with foreskin samples obtained within 24 days after surgical harvesting." HARVESTING???

Yes, they are harvesting babies.

Howz this?:

"I have some good friends who are obstetricians outside the military, and they look at a foreskin and almost see a $125 price tag on it.. Each one is that much money. Heck, if you do 10 a week, that's over $1,000 a week, and they don't take that much time."

Thomas Wiswell,
Iowa Law Review, 1997
(also quoted in the Boston Globe, June 22, 1987)

Here's another goodie:

The AAP's choice in ignoring the obvious and vociferous bias of Dr. Schoen, and further choice in placing him as chair of the 1989 task force, is evidence that the AAP was more interested in buttressing the continued practice of circumcision than in objectively evaluating scientific evidence. Then, to base a change in policy on the "new evidence" of Dr. Wiswell, when he seemed well aware of an industry monetary incentive to promote circumcision, and when the AAP task force had recognized methodological problems with his UTI studies, reinforces suspicion that the AAP let non-medical motives determine its recommendations. Finally, for the AAP to not disclose the monetary incentives that existed to promote the procedure is irresponsible and as is being argued here, possibly deceptive.

Iowa Law Review, 1997

http://www.cirp.org/library/legal/gi...i/04.html#n315

And:

When asked what it would take to change their minds about circumcision, four pediatricians answered:

"A million dollars!" Thomas Wiswell, M.D. [Possibly Dr. Wiswell thought this response was humorous, but, because circumcision is motivated, at least in part, by economics, it really was less funny than even he may have realized.]

And:

He is also Vice President of Research for Discovery Labs, a pharmaceutical company and recently has been reported for insider trading of their stock. The transaction consisted of 15,600 shares purchased at 19.2 cents per share and sold at $4.41 per share. That’s a handy profit of $65,301.00 on an initial investment of $2995.00.

Wanna see what greed looks like? (Scroll to the bottom of the page):

http://www.uhmc.sunysb.edu/pediatrics/faculty.html#W

Looks like a normal guy with gray hair and his "Comb over," doesn't he? Who would think such a normal looking doctor would have such greed that he would take body parts for profit?
