no matter how i sit i cant get comfortable. if i slouch my back hurts, if i sit up straight it hurts and i cant last that long, if i lay back it's really uncomfortable, siting cross-legged, same thing...

i think i pretty much covered all sitting positions..or have i?

any suggestions? my 20 week belly is quite big and making it hard to feel at ease for more than a minute

I just lay down. :LOL

Ok, seriously, I have to sit all day at work and it sucks. It really exaserbates (sp?) my pubic pain. I sit on one of these occassionally, which I got from my chiro. It helps a bit. I need to get my birth ball blown up at home to sit on that while i am on the computer. Its another good option.

If you dont have an issue with pubic separation, "they" say that tailor sitting (criss cross applesauce is what my son calls it) is good for your posture. Sitting and slouching on big fluffy couches is not good for you or the baby's position. So I think you should sit on the edge of the couch with your belly a little forward.

But like I said, when given the chance, I usually choose to lay on one side or the other.

We have a few chiros on board. I'm sure they will be more articulate than me on the subject.

I like being able to put my feet up when I am sitting. Not going to happen at work, maybe...but nice for when you get the chance to relax.
