well obviously not in a public place. that becomes somewhat of a health issue nakend people in public places. but yeah the garden plots are some what secluded. you miss them until you are literally in them. no one uses that road hardly and the ones who do are going so much over the speed limit that they have no clue what they are passing. the bike trail is down below but because of the angle of the hill you can't see up only down.

well I am glad I am not alonei n indulging a little nakked time in a not too public spot. we don't allow it at hime because not because I am scared of pedofiles thinking about my children but because I know people have been watching my children in our neighborhood before. they called to let me know. eeeewwwww. foertunately that day they were covered from head to toe in winter gear but still, nothing to draw aditional attention you know. and in this neighborhood we are more likely to get social services involved than in a nicer neighborhood. not fair but still. opf course none of that means that it never happens :LOL my general philospophy is take it off while you can.

I was in a similar situation recently--I live near the ocean. Went to the beach with a mom friend and her son (who is 2), and she invited another mom (that I don't know) who brought her kids (a one year old boy and 5 year old girl).
The other mom (the one I don't know) told me that my daughter's (who is 3) bathing suit straps were "revealing EVERYTHING" (her bathing suit straps fell on one side, exposing part of her chest).
She was almost freaking out over it.
Well, the minute my dd sits down to play in the sand, the bathing suit straps fall off of her shoulders.
So I ended up having to put a t-shirt on her over her bathing suit because this woman was making such a big deal over it. wth?
I would have stared at her like she'd grown another eye, and totally removed my dd's bathing suit top to rid her of the pesky straps!!!! LOLOL

The road was 100' away? Should that driver Not have had her eyes On The Road?

Glad that cop was good about things. There's nothing wrong with a naked baby.

I'd've shot the creep doing U-turns and repeatedly driving past to stare with the hose! Right in the face! Then I'd've gotten his license number and reported his stalking behavior.

I'm Sorry...I have to laugh...

:LOL

My two youngest (both boys) are always ALWAYS naked! They run around the house naked, they run around the backyard naked and yes, they even run around the front yard naked. One of our friends is a CPS social worker, she made a stink about it saying that it wasn't sanitary for kids to run around without their bottoms covered. My boys were in cloth diapers then and I used to let them go naked a few hours a day to keep their skin healthy.
I wouldn't let stupid people bother me!

Cheer up, if that is the worst that people have had to use against you, you are alright. I was acused of abusing my second child in 2001 because he had a broken finger that my 4yr old caused by slamming his little pinky in the bedroom door, breaking it right between the knuckles. The second time was a neighbor who had it out for me called and said that I drug the same child into the house by his hair. He had a whiffle cut, so go figure. Our social worker friend was given that case, she knew us better than that seeing she lived right behind our house and saw my children every day.

: I will not change my life or my dd's for what people "could" be
thinking about us. She runs naked and free in our yard all summer and
she just turned 5. We do however live in a rural area with 3 acres around
us. But I just will not cheat her from loving her body as long as she can,
just how it is. She has many years ahead of her to succumb to a public
who loves to hate their bodies.
Actually the other day while weeding the garden I was topless myself.
I am viewed in public as fat. It was very freeing to feel the air and sun
on my body. Ahhhh to be a naked baby again.
If I had the power I would sentence those who make bogus ignorant
complains to the police and CPS to volunteer a solid work month for
children who are actually being abused or neglected. Then maybe they
would know the difference.

This is SUCH an American thing. We are SO uptight about nudity, even in children. We haven't heard from any Eurpoeans (I don't think) but I remember getting over my shock at the beach (outside of the US) when lots of little ones under 5 were running about buck nakey! You just don't see that here.

So - my grandmother was SO uptight that if the dog laid on his back she'd put a napkin over his genitals. This woman is just coming from a different place and a different generation. It's perfectly normal to let your kids run around nakid. Don't let her bother you.

:LOL Some people! I'd be more concerned if it was an 8yo or something, but 2, come on. I wouldn't worry too much.

Our society is SO uptight about nudity, its part of why so many people have hang-ups about their bodies. It scares me to think of people calling the police, it andgers me that we have to be hesitant in the way we want to raise our ds, totally open with nudity around our house.

I have had friends who thought it was bad that when I change a diaper I tell my ds that his "twig and berries" are so cute....

I am really leary about people that have such hang-ups.....

That woman just had way too much time on her hands. I could see if your 2yo was running around the mall naked or something but come on. my 2yos hates clothes and he runs out naked all the time. I try to keep him in the house or in the back yard but the world won't end if someone has to see my little guy running around.
