Hey everybody! I recently read a wonderful book that I bet ya'll would really dig! It's called Mother Mysteries by Maren Toder Hansen. My mother-in-law gave it to me and I can't begin to tell you how much it touched me. The author is an ordained Unitarian minister, a psychotherapist and one of the founders of the Pacifica Institute (a graduate school that Joseph Campbell willed all of his materials to). Anyway, she writes about the psychological, spiritual, mythological journey that she went through from the time she decided to have a child and through all of her three children's births. She's a pretty AP mom and it is beautifully written. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have my own experience on a spiritual/psychological level reflected back to me. I've been telling all of the moms I know about this book -- so I thought I'd tell you guys! If anyone has read it, I'd love to have a discussion about it. If you haven't (yet), go out and get it. It's well worth the read!
