........in the same vein as the Livestrong ones? I just got the LLL one and I'd love to wear an anti-circ one. Is there a fundraiser group out there doing it? BTW, if there isn't one there should be and it should be blood red! That'll bring the point home.

Actually, they will be available soon from someone here in Michigan. They will be arriving to her home July 6th.

They are tan in color with STOP CIRCUMCISION written in burgundy. They will be selling for 1.00 each.

As soon as I get some more info, I will post it.

For anyone who is interested, the bracelets will be $2.00 each, not $1.00 as I previously stated. I am waiting to find out cost of postage.

For anyone who is interested, PM me and I will give info on where to send the $.

Thanks,
Pam

Jessmcg,
If I wasn't so lame I'd cut and paste the link for you . It's a topic in the Breastfeeding Support and Advocacy Forum. I think it's says something like "Livestrong bracelets for breastfeeding" or something. The company is wristspirit.com and the money goes to a LLL in Delware/Maryland (if I'm remembering correctly).

paminmi,
What group does the money go to? I'd love to get several.

Here's the scoop: Lori just emailed me with further information. She said the bracelets are $2.00 INCLUDING shipping, unless you want bulk quantity of bracelets in which case she would need to give you a quote.

FYI, Lori is the Education coordinator with NOCIRC of Michigan who on her own, arranged for these intactivist bracelets to be made. I hooked her up with someone from this board (ahem, please speak up and take credit...) who gave valuable assistance in the process.

BTW, this is not a fundraiser, she is just trying get out the word about circumcision and to recoup what the bracelets are costing to manufacture.

She gave me permission to list her address in this message. Can someone tell me if it is against board policy to put it up for anyone who wants to buy one? I don't want to get myself in trouble here.

Thanks,
Pam

I want one too!

OT - the LLL bracelets you can find at http://www.causekeepers.com/lansinoh/ . The proceeds go to funding the fight for breastfeeding legislation to protect every woman's right to nip, if I remember right.

Yes, and thank you Pam for the recognition. I was formerly in a partnership in a business that distributes this type of product. Pam mentioned this to me in a private message and then put Lori in contact. I called up my former partner and called in a few favors and (basically) demanded that she furnish these at cost with no profit to her or me. This is what happened and the bracelets were sold to Lori at less than wholesale. $2.00 is an incredible deal as I understand the Livestrong bracelets are around $12.00 or something similar and that most of these bracelets sell for something in the $10.00 range.

We want two!

One for me and one for 10 m/o DS. Do you think a bracelet would fit around his leg like an ankle bracelet?
