Can I come play with the July mommies?

Hello there,
My origonal due date was/is June 26th but here it is the last day in June and not only have I not delivered but Im not really even showing any signs of it being soon. SO looks like Im going to be a July mommie.

Im plannign a hoem birth. Maybe anotehr water birth but we havnt bought a pol yet... basically beacuse Im lost as to how to get it set up and filled with comfortable water in time. ?!? This will be my 4th baby so Ive got little ones that would make a mess of it it we set it up earlier. And this labor is proberly going to be under an hr. Last baby was under 2 hrs and 9lbs. Anyway, would love to get to know you mamas here a bit if you will have me!

Hi

HI - I feel as if I may be doing the same as you but in the August section!! Why oh why are the last two or three weeks - that stretch in to 5 or 6 - so hard? Welcome to July but you never know you might just pop sooner than you think!! There's still a little time for you!

I was thinking I was going to go the opposite way that you are going. I am due next week but for a while there it was really seeming like I was going to go in June...but no....

Welcome Jamie! Like Ewe, I'm due at the end of July, so very well may be migrating to the August board!

I hope your baby makes his/her appearance soon! A short labor sounds sooo appealing (I'm a first time mama, so it seems unlikely!).

I might be one of those migrating, too, but my body seems to be indicating I'll go earlier rather than later. I've been saying all along that this will be a 4th of July babe. Maybe you'll join me!

Anticipating short labor #2 here, as well! (Shana - don't assume first labor = long. I went from 3cm to 10cm in an hour w/ DS#1!)

Thanks for all the welcomes!

Shanna- your first labor doesnt have to be long! My first was 7hrs with a Epidural and WAITING for my Dr to get there since they hadnt called her yet. If my Dr had been there and ready I would of had a 4 or 5 hr labor at most. In my experience stay on your feet as long as possible if you want your labor to progress quicker and easier. I just can NOT handle labor laying down. My pain goes up 150% as soon as I lay down. Speed walking through my CX and dancing my hips side to side and squatting is what helps me the most.

Welcome!!! Well sort of I guess - probably would rather have stayed a June mama huh?!

I have some of your diapers just waiting for my little one to arrive! 3 small customs you did for me a couple months ago!

Oh and Shanna - my first labor was only 3.5 hours and that was with an epidural too - so you never know, could be FAST!

ETA - I forgot to say that I might end up an Aug. mama too. I am due July 26th but my son was 2 weeks late so who knows!? Hoping its July!

i'm dsue at the end july too and i'm *hoping* : that i won't have to wait till august because i'm starting to get pretty uncomfortable over here...

Well, still no baby so Im offically a July mommie! Beacuse there is NO way Im going until Aug! lmbo! Sigh. I already have NST and BPP scheduled for the 5th and the 8th. Sigh. My dates have GOT to be off. Im not even having any signs of labor getting close at all! No show, no bh, no Cx. WTH?!?

I even have all my diapers sewn there is literally NOTHING left for me to do to prepare for this baby. Im SO bored! Just waiting...

Okay I just sound so whiney!
Sigh,. At least the rest of the June past due mommies are having show or infrequent cx or soemthing! Cant I have just one little show.... lmbo.

okay off to go look at washers and dryers!

Welcome, Jamie! We're all pretty whiney-friendly here, so don't worry 'bout it. Plus, I'm another one of those late July momma's who keeps hoping to stay a July momma despite my instincts, lol. I guarantee you, I'll at least be getting whinier as the due date approaches (july 26th) as DD #1 was also a late one (orig due July 28th, born Aug 7 and induced).
