Is there some kind of cell phone scam I'm not aware of?

I feel like after my online photo question I sound like a real loon, but get this: both my boss and I have been getting messages from people we don't know on our cell phones along the lines of: hey baby, I'm just chillin', my divorce just came through so call me some time.

Is this a new thing? Or is it just a freak occurrence?

That sounds like some sort of "spam" though I've heard nothing about it.

And hey, I've been reading some scary stuff about innocent pics of babies getting posted w/o permission onto some not so innocent sites, so I don't think you were overeactive at all about not wanting your little one's pic freely circulating the internet.
