We are majorly bleeding money. Lisa, we did the same thing, but we weren't so good about sticking to the budget. wE just got notice that our taxes will change our mrtg pmt. Luckily dh is getting a raise, but it is disappearing fast!! I now have a new budget and I am insistent about sticking to it!! :

So many traveling mamas. We are here until August/September when we will head to MI. Ds,DD & I will extend the trip with a visit to my sister in VA.

Not much else to say...

Aine is 5 months today I rode my bike with Eamon in the trailer to the grocery store this morning. Aine apparently missed me terribly, because she just cried for dh She stopped immediately when he put her into my arms

You gals are so funny - I think it's like looking for love... it just won't happen when you're looking for it, kwim? All of a sudden I had like 970 posts! Last I'd looked I had 380... so when you get in a groove it goes really fast.

Thanks for the news on the bblp Lisa - now that we have the other one I do like the clear, so I think I'll just stick w/what we have. Some day that tiny tush will fit!

Michelle - that was wonky - I thought maybe you'd changed your username until I saw the slingwearing daddy part (and the mailman's baby thing - that's :LOL ).

Does anyone want Northern Lights on CD? FWIW, I thought it was a good story.

Nicole - did you see the stuff I posted? Mostly stuff we've grown out of, not using, was gifted to me, I've read or watched already, or that we have duplicates of (books etc.). It does take a bit of organizing to get it together and cleaned up. I think Heidi has a big box in her closet - mine is here in the computer room. Once the box is together it's easier to add stuff to it...kwim?

Well, the little fella is back asleep - and we're back on the 2 hr. sched. ho hum... I wanted to go play tennis, but between getting a few things done around here, nursing and napping we can't seem to get out of the house! Ug.

Ok, chat more later mamas... andy

I forgot to add that ds had bblp butt ring today. He was using the potty, stood up and had the telltale ring :LOL

Loooove-a da butt ring!!! :

Hey - missed the 5 monthday for Aine - happy monthday little one!

Andy, yah I thought about the ws sauce, but it has "caramel color" in it (at least the bottle in our fridge does!) which is usually a dairy thing. Bah! I found a soy sauce sub. - 8 oz. molasses (I used blackstrap so it turned the mac'n'cheese a funky brown color), 3 oz. balsamic vinegar, and sugar to taste. It smelled about right, so in it went. I put the rest in a bottle in the fridge, might as well get some use from all the baby bottles!
- eh, why not?! Sounds like that mix might work...

Hey - I forget to say, don't forget to mark Geneva and Abigail's card CANADA or it's going to get sunk into the postal void...

hi all,
it's the day of mini naps over here. Luka is not sleeping well today yet.

dh and I took him to town (nearby walk) in the jog stroller our friends scored for us. it's been great and he's been falling asleep in it a lot. well we were crossing the street and pop- off came something. who knows what. then again a pop and the whole thing started to collapse : :LOL AND of course Luka had just fallen asleep in it. What kind of parents are we to get a used stroller and then not check all of the nuts and bolts??? anyhow, I think we've got it ok now.

dh says he feels like we're in a zoo here of preppies. everyone is all prepped out here.... very UNlike HI!

I think many of us overspend our budgets. I would say that every other month or so the cc bill is too much and there's always that Something that had come up. but there's almost always a Something. ugh

Luka didn't poop for 5 days.... this am, he did, and of course with a sposie on- up the back. yuck. took a bath to get cleaned up. we were WAY beyond wipes!

Morning all!

Wow chata roonies here today!! We have been so busy this weekend I haven't had much time to post - went to a pool party yesterday - the boys are still crashed out from all the excitement. I'm downstairs having a quiet moment. Violet is on the floor crawling backwards and blowing raspberries to herself :LOL

Posts: It took me like a year to get to 60 posts. Then I met you all and also the ladies in the yarn forum and well - it just took off. I have no idea how I'm at 2000 almost!

Michelle - go ahead and send Kaia's meas anyway. I already dyed the yarn and I;m excited to make it. Thanks for the herb info. I should go get some motherwart. I like skullcap too. I actually like the sleepy feeling that it gives :

Dh gave me a lecture on Kava yesterday. Apparantly Kavakava is the whole plant, and its not as good to use that medicinially. Better to use just the root - which is called "awa" (sp?) Anyway, he's telling me about this place here called the "ava bar" where you can go sit around and take this stuff and its a very traditional Hawaiian thing. Like he's some sort of Kava expert. Weirdo.

Poll: The only reason dh wouldn't eat the rice is because it would be covered in ants if left out all night. Otherwise anythign is fair game as long as its microwaved. Oh, and an ant will live if microwaved for 3 minutes. well....I dunno, maybe it might die later on of radiation oisoning or something...

We had a vegan wedding cake. It tasted like cornbread and it was yummy. I'll probably make something like that for V's first b-day.

Does Bragg's have wheat in it?

Michelle :LOL I was like who the heck is that person, then I read your sig line and got was scratching my head

Lisa- I think Karen said that you could just omit the soy sauce. I think it just gives it the salty type taste anyways

Andy- wow you got all the cards done already! I have yet to get any yet. But I will soon! gotta get cracking

Yeah Larry ate that rice dish. I was like eeewww. Well if you get sick don't say I didn't tell you so. He does that all the time and yet he never gets sick. me I'd be puking up already. He even ate a yogurt that got left out overnite!

Well MIL/FIL are gone. Pretty decent visit for once. Except I hate when she talks when her mouth is full of food, ick
post #93 of 466
whoa I missed a whole page of posts :LOL

Karen- don't feel bad. i got a new stroller and the thing fell apart on us and it had all the pieces. For some reason the wheel kept coming off.

Happy 5 mths to Aine!

SPM - Love the photos...

Hmm he would eat the rice and he leaves the toilet seat up

DH never puts food away, but he is a major parnoid food freak. He hates leftovers, and he always tries to throw the cheese away(thinks it smells bad-uh,yeah, it's cheese)...

Dh's are a seriously weird breed of people... I asked Jerry and he said he'd totally eat it, has eaten it, would eat it again in a minute. But not dairy or anything that ferments. He took a lot of chem. in school, so he'd know that fermenting thing.

What are you all doing for 4th of July (except you Pam - just another monday over there, eh!)

Dh fixed the broken camera

Lisa - how was the mac and cheese?

Karen - bummer about the stroller - but hey - if it's fixable it sounds like you got yourselves a deal! Was GB ok w/it - he seemed a little attached to the stroller he'd already picked out... that's awesome that you've got it now. WHEW! Orin hardly ever falls asleep in his. Eyes wide open for as long as possible, this kid. Though this afternoon he kept popping off the breast, so I flipped him onto his tummy, kissed his little head and told him to go to sleep. and he DID! wow, huh? He truly amazes me sometimes.

Ok, back to getting stuff done around here - I want to buy myself a little time to read, too. Oh, maybe it's my computer but I couldn't get to see Laura's pics. I'll try again later.

caio! andy

Rice ferments. Sake, anyone?

Heya mamas!

Yah, made the mac'n'cheese, it was ok. If I were vegan or if I had never had cheese it would be good. Otherwise, not my thing. Dh said ewww..

We packed dinner and went to the beach with my crunchy friend and her babe. She brought dairy free choco cake for me birthday, and I took fruit and regular salad, and we all brought our own sammiches. YUM. and the babies were good. Dh and friend had ice cream from a super great icecream place too, and we called it a day. Lauren has not napped since 1. I hope she falls to sleep very quickly tonight.

Laura, the sling looks great!

Andy, was the lens thing stuck and now it's all better?

I'm sleepy, and I'm sleepy. Back tomorrow to increase my post count!
